Homosexuality is clearly condemned by the Bible. It goes against the created order of God who created Adam, a man, and then made Eve, a woman. This is what God has ordained as the normal means by which we carry out his command to fill the earth (Gen. 1:28). What God has set up is what is right -- not what sinful man sets up.

However, unlike other sins, homosexuality has a severe judgment administered by God Himself. This judgment is simple: they are given over to their passions. That means that their hearts are allowed to be hardened by their sins (Romans 1:24). As a result, they can no longer see the error of what they are doing, and then they go and promote it and condemn others who don't participate in their sin. So, without an awareness of their sinfulness, there will be no repentance and trusting in Jesus. Without Jesus, they will have no forgiveness. Without forgiveness, there is no salvation. Without salvation, there is only damnation in eternal hell.

To have faith God exists is one thing. To expect other people to blindly believe it too because someone says so is beyond stupid.

I am not on a BIBLE thread, I am on homosexual marriage threads. Lawl, pain it has brought to others. Like who? My parents who didn't mind in the least and wondered why it took me so long to tell them? My friends who are completely supportive? Who's in pain again?

If you felt good about your lifestyle choice, you would accept that the Bible says it has eternal consequences. Those who believe in the Bible disagree with your lifestyle choice. The Bible repeatedly condemns it.

If you really felt OK about your choices, you could accept that unchangeable reality and walk on.

Obviously, you do not. That leaves only one choice to find peace in this world and the next: REPENT.

I have this moniker because its a name I've used since high school and as far as I can recall has always been available when I've attempted joining a site, which makes things fast and easy. Yes, I was a bit angry in high school, who wasn't? What was so hateful about my posts? I have had a few angry responses but most of those are in response to people making insulting claims. I don't generally lash out at people for absolutely no reason. Not to mention the fact that there have been plenty of rage filled bible thumpers as well so that's hardly an indication of anything.

Tell me again why I should believe the bible? It was written by humans, what reason do I have to believe these people knew what the hell they were going on about? Did they personally see the events they speak of? Or do they just retell the stories going around at that time in history. I do not trust a bunch of ancient humans to not have an extremely skewed view of things. To blindly put my faith in what these ancient humans said would be even more foolish.

I do feel good about myself and accept the reality that the bible is full of crap.

Anybody can write anything and make a book. That doesn't make it true.

Hick, if it's 'mis-translated' how do you explain the fact that EVERY Bible translation, ancient Bible text, and major Judeo-Christian tradition supports the Bible's many commands against all homosexual behavior?
