The dash cam videos won't be released until the FBI completes the investigation. I can't believe this has become so blown out of proportion! Honestly, some of you think it is easier to believe a cop would handcuff someone, put them in the police car, and shoot them than to believe the criminal shot himself. Yes, I said "criminal". He had a police record. This wasn't just some innocent kid. What motive would a police officer have to do something that crazy! They were called on from someone in that neighborhood to check out a suspicious vehicle.

It's simple. Freedom of Information Act. If anything comes from the Chavis Carter case, I hope the mass of ignorance about how are government actually comes to an end. YOU as a citizen have access to public documents.

And before I get bashed- ignorance is not really insulting. In this context, it essentially means uninformed. I blame the failing public school systems.

My opinion: let's hear from the autopsy. The state coroner doesn't give a damn. It's another body to look at. Crude, I know. A lot of light will be shed when this and the FBI (also don't give a damn, it's an outside investigation) results come out. My two key points of interests: gun projectory, where was the bullet aimed, and gun powder residue. Who's hands are dirty with the discharge.

i got my own theory. i think it was fueled by some type of jealousy. if you look at alot of the officers of the jpd you might notice that they arent too attractive or pleasent to look at and myself being a man of fair looks, now im not the best looking guy ever but im not too shabby looking, i realise that chavis was indeed not a bad looking guy himself, no homo. i just know a handsom guy when i see one, and i bet females will agree mr carter was good looking. i think they did it because they hate to see a black man who looks better than they do. i myself have been done bad by police, threatened and man handled because i am good looking and attract nice looking ladies. cops hate handsome men they think we are cocky and arogant but we are just confident. they hate to see a man with confidence in himself, especially a black kid from missippi.

What and how are you going to feel when the undisputable proof that these cops did not shoot this kid? There is no doubt that racial tension is high in this town over this happening. And yes it's being fueled by the black community. If and when they prove these cops innocent what's going to happen then? The black community is not going to rest with a innocent verdict. You may feel comfortable now with your mixed relationship, but beware the black community will not have pity on you just because your with a black women. They will be fueled by hate and blindly be out for blood.

Racist cops. How dare they let a guy kill himself. Man, it's all their fault right??

Black people are the racist ones for starting all this crap, as soon as something happens to a black guy they are quick to get out of the unemployment line and jump at the chance to get somebody else in trouble for "racism." Ha.

well heres the best version of the dash cam video i could find, released by abc news. its weird how parts of the video are edited out and its not the full complete video. another thing i find suspicious and odd is the way officer marsh imediatly apraches the passenger side of the truck and takes carter out of the car and pulls him to the side and imediatly performs a search and the full search is not shown thats where the video skips foward, then the other cops asks the other two bozo thug looking skanks to step out of the car. the video skips forward again, talks with them in front of the camera, im guessing carter is in the patrol car at this point, the two thugs are let go, the truck drives off and if you listen closly at the two officers talking to each other you can hear what i think is one officer asking the other did you get that on film? as if they purposly interacted with two white guys on camera for show like it was an act or something. then the video ends but we know thats not the end. you dont see the part where the loud thump is heard or where they find carter dead or where the one officer taps on the other officers trunk, you dont see where they call the ambulance or where the detectives show up, why is so much of the video left out, they only show us where they talk to the two white dudes and let them go. it still looks fishy to me. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/17/chav...

This is BS. That boy was murdered. If they missed a gun in the search, then they should be fired. I don''t trust cops because they lie under oath.

thats right carter didnt know the white guys, so how did he end up in a truck with two white guys from missouri? look at the video and stop ignoring the suspicious actions of the cops, why did marsh rush to the passender door and take carter out of the vehicle so quickly, why werernt the othe two men taken out of the car at the same time carter was? why were carter and the other two boys kept seperated the whole time, they did not seperate all three only carter from the two white guys. it looked like they already knew carter was in the vehicle and that he was their main target. they got what they wanted out of the truck so they let the other two go. i think it was a set up. thats what it looks like. they searched and cuffed the two white dudes on camera so as too make us beleive the cops and the two boys had no connections, thats why you hear one officer ask the other "did you get that on film?" as the white truck is driving away. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/17/chav...
