Damn right I'm picking and choosing:

I pick lowlife murderers to go to the gallows, and I choose lowlife rapists to go to the electric chair.

I also choose to shoot criminals who are caught in the act of attempting to harm my family, my friends, my neighbors, or myself.

And I will pick the firearm that is easiest to get to in order accomplish that goal.

You cut your bull droppings.

What is said is true, try me, come on big little brains, come break into my home and depending on the room I am in you might get shot with a 16 gauge, a 38 sp. 44 mag, 45, all depends on what room I am in but there is a weapon at hand, and you will not live to tell why you broke into my home.

So big mouth of a thousand names, come on over and break in and feel the heat for a few moments before you bleed out or just drop dead.

Self defense, I feared for my life and my family.

Are you boy enough to try it? I highly doubt it because legally I can and will shot to kill.

You say you don't believe in killing, thus I can only assume you would leave your guns lay, and allow an intruder to continue to rape your wife, or kill you and family, while you debated with them the merits of their actions, using the best benefit of your scientific theory to explain to them why it is society's fault, and not theirs, that they are raping and killing in the first place.
First of all, I never said I don't believe in killing. There is no such post of mine that says that. So, that makes you, once again, a lying sack ofshit.

You've already stated that you are an avid gun owner. Why do you own guns? Do you hunt? Do you believe in protecting yourself or your family from harm? Are they merely "wall hangers" that you think look pretty collecting dust in your gun cabinet?
If someone broke into your house to rape your wife, or murder your kids or you, would you leave your guns in their case and allow the mayhem to continue? Or would to pick up one of your myriad firearms, purchased by you, and designed for the very purpose of killing, and use them for their intended function in order to stop someone from harming your family or yourself?
Second of all, I do hunt and fish, and I eat everything I kill.

Third, I would use deadly force to protect my family. My wife and all our teenagers have taken a firearms safety class, and my wife has a concealed carry permit.

I think the death penalty is a necessary evil, and have no religious beliefs to navigate around this issue.

Just promise me, tough guy, that you keep your guns locked up when children visit your house.

Would having them in my gun safe work, a standard policy of ours and has been forever, even when our kids where little.

In fact I ask friends that I know have a CCW permit to either leave them home or in their car when they visit.

I know all to well how when a kid "finds" a gun someone get hurt because even if taught about real guns little kids will normally pull the trigger thinking it is a toy gun.

Both our kids were taught that guns are not toys and neither wanted toy guns, well our son did not want them, most girls like playing with dolls.

It probably would have been easier and more pleasant for you to just say you agreed with me, rather than wait for me to call you out and drag it out of you.

I guess the only area where we don't agree is that I don't see the death penalty as a "necessary evil" at all. It is righteous justice for those who commit crimes that warrant it.

Furthermore, I never said I have "any religious beliefs to navigate around this issue". You did.(So I guess that makes you a lying piece of sh@T.(grin!)).

My stance on the death penalty is fully supported by my religious convictions. You have no religious convictions. Therefore, your argument has been entirely moot.

But entertaining none-the-less!

Our discussion would be more effecient if you would stick to a truthful and accurate representation of what I have posted previously, and if you would not attribute statements to me that I did not make. People like you who misrepresent the positions of others quickly gain a reputation of being untrustworthy whether the venue is a school board, city council, county commission, legislature or blogging forum.

The issue should be put on the ballot, let the people decide ,not some corrupt politicians. The death penalty will be overwhelmingly re-instated.The death penalty insures that these cretens will never commit another crime and it will save us the cost of them living. Problem with the death penalty so far has been the slowness which with it is carried out. Some sit for 20 plus years on death row sucking taxmoney out of us while they exist. All should be executed within a month of conviction and sentencin, only 1 appeal allowed and filed and heard within a month.

Again, leftist Democrats block the will of the people.
New Mexicans are overwhelmingly in support of re-instating the death penalty, yet the obstructionist Democrat majority in the New Mexico legislature have taken it upon themselves to insist that they know what's best for us.
Another reason to vote to remove Democrats from the legislature at every opportunity.
Murderers and rapists have waived their right to live in polite society.
Reason to vote Democrat No.6: 6. "I vote Democrat because I'm not concerned about millions of babies being aborted so long as we keep all death row inmates alive."

I have pondered the death penalty long and hard, and I believe that monsters like Terry Clark, Michael Astorga and Juan Galindo, to name just a few here in N.M., need to pay the ultimate price for their crimes.

I don't care that it costs taxpayers more to execute these psychopaths than it does to incarcerate them for life. It's not a business decision, it's about crime and punishment.

And it is unfortunate that the fools who we elect to our legislature killed a bill that would have let the voters decide the issue. How arrogant of them to think that they know better than the voting population at large.
