Shitlanka will destroy itself out for the evil it has done to the Tamils. It is a parasite nation.

Tiger supporters are aready being punished. The tsunami wiped out most of your cadres in 2004, then the govt wiped out another lot of Tigers between 2006-9. Now capsizing boats are killing a few more LTTE fighters. Next a contaminated batch of punnaku might finish the rest off.

Asylum seekers ‘beaten’ in Indonesia

November 3, 2009 10:40 pm

Asylum seekers in Indonesia are routinely beaten and denied clean water and medical care in detention centres paid for in part by Australian taxpayers, a report handed today to Government says.

As the stand-off on the Oceanic Viking wears on, Behind Australian Doors sheds light on the detention conditions potentially faced by 78 Sri Lankans refusing to get off the Australian custom vessels docked off theisland of Bintan.

In Indonesia, it is common to wait two to three years to be determined as a refugee, but with little prospect of third country resettlement, the report, by Australian lawyer and refugee advocate Jessie Taylor, says.

Less than one per cent of the world’s refugees were resettled in third countries in 2008.

“Detainees suffer malnutrition, depression, anxiety, skin diseases, vomiting and diarrhoea, and have been subject to violent beatings by Indonesian authorities,” the report finds.“In funding the processing and housing of asylum seekers in such a manner, Australia is behaving very poorly.”

Ms Taylor visited 11 places of detention in Indonesia in July, and interviewed 250 people.

“Beatings usually occur after escapes from detention facilities, as a ‘punishment’ of remaining detainees for the escape of others,” the report continues.

Among the 2000 people held in prisons, detention centres and compounds across the country, there are refugees once granted temporary protection in Australia, the report says

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Cancer

If you have children at home they'll be really playful today and quite a handful at times. Encourage them to burn off all their energy during the day otherwise it will be a case of tears before bedtime. There could also be a fractious atmosphere between you and a loved one, and this will quickly escalate into a row if you aren't careful.
