Rachel Maddow: now the first openly gay woman to host a prime-time program

Congrats Rachael.

HOORAY! I love her razor sharp wit and style of presentation. Yay for NBC for finally getting that we love Rachel Maddow!

This is the next best thing to happen to MSNBC, Rachel and Keith with their own shows are a duo to be reckoned with!

Great - Dan Abrams is boring as all heck. And annoying.

I love Rachel's interactions with Pat Buchanan.

i've been crushing on rachel since i first saw her on keith's show. she is smart, funny and her perspective is always right on. congratulations, my hero!

Rachel is great. Dan Abrams is smug. It will be good to see Rachel in her own environment. She seems just a bit stilted when replacing Keith, and following his format.

In all honesty, I didn't even know (or care) that she's gay. Guess my gaydar is broken.

Same here, although the first time I watched her I did say, Hmmmmmmmm

But she got this position because she is a fabulous host and commentator. The fact she is gay is just a biographical footnote.
But that same footnote should inspire others in the lesbian community to FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS.
