Can anyone tell me if this is going to be a Super Center with groceries similiar to the one in North Versailles. I am getting reports that it is not going to sell groceries because of a injunction granted by the courts to protect neighboring Giant Eagles. I hope this is not the case because Giant Eagles prices are ridiculously high.

Why can,t someone compete with them the Wal-Mart kingdom is getting old. Every new one they put up keeps there control over the area even greater. And please don,t say Target they are slowly sinking. Once there entrenched its there prices only that will control your budget. There will be no more shopping for the "Best Buy or Deal"

Walmarts prices are always lower than Giant Eagles no matter how much they creep up. I have been a Walmart food shopper for years and with my large family I save hundreds of dollars a month. I have to feed growing football players and a very hard working construction worker and their prices do right by me. "Let's GO Walmart". In addition it will add jobs to the area for people who need them.

I too have a family also two swimmers, who then they turn right over to football. I am also a union construction worker. But I think Wal-Mart undermines the word "value" when there are no more stores to compare it too. A good deal is only as good when you have chances to compare it to other stores. If you look around maybe its the same there as here, alot of good memoeries about things that "use" to be there. Hence the need for jobs, not creating just starting to work at a new place.

Dont worry about prices, the place will be closed in 2 years-the time it will take the druggies, thieves and hoodrats to rob the place BLIND. Dont these places do market research anymore-what are they thinking? I would love to shop there but who would subject their families to the scum this place will attract, and you will see the worst of the worst. Now the welfare garbage can save their gas money, they dont have to drive to N. Versailles anymore.

I'm wondering, if you know what are the consequences of have a new Wal-Mart in the community? I know that its true that sometimes they have a lower prices. However all the benefits that the small business are bringing to the community are bigger, like: values, better customer service, help to the community with more taxes than Wal-mart or other big chains are paying that support to have more schools, public libraries, parks, clean environment without a lot of traffic, support the farmers, etc.
Every time, when we buy with the small business, we are helping to keep the community better off.
Better jobs with better wages that big chains.
When the big chains are coming the small businesses close and a lot of jobs lost!
Its the reason that I dont think Wal-mart could help us to be better off!

I've seen more Walmarts in western PA than I've seen anywhere else in the country. And guess what? I've seen more small businesses in western PA than I've seen anywhere else in the country. Walmart isn't squeezing small businesses in western PA whatsoever.

Jesus died for that "scum" and "garbage" and you too. Visit Petra International currently in the Eastgate community for awhile and see if your attitude doesn't change. They will be "in charge" You need Jesus to help you with that hate you are carrying around. May God bless your heart and soul.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Virgo

Mercury is turning retrograde at just the right time, because it's telling you to consider the validity of your long-term aims and aspirations. If they stand about as much chance of seeing the light of day as you do of winning the Lottery, then you need to streamline them or even abandon them and start again. So think about what you want from life and how you're going to get it. Children and romance may be quite erratic during this phase.
