1 The word I think you want is "ludicrous". Ludacris is rapper (musician) born in 1977. |
It is nice too see that there is someone who is perfect on this thread. |

Hey now, wait a minute! I don't like your insinuation ... I was confused and even looked it up ... so, yeah, I learned something, too!(guess I'll just go talk to my walker)

Aren't you full of yourself, trying to an english mayor are we???? |

Did you use a dictionary to look it up, or did you use the world wide web? I assume you didn't use the former. I can't imagine Webster knowing anything about a rapper from the 70's.

Hah! Ya caught me - I DID use the web (it was so close at hand), although I do have a pretty huge dictionary (for school) and it has "ludicrous" in it.
"causing laughter because of absurdity" ... So let's hope this entry between us just causes some laughter for the absurdity of it! Happy Friday! |

It is pretty hilarious. Have a mirthful holiday.

Maybe if Walmart comes to town we could get a stamp machine in the Post office.
Yeah ! That's what we really need ...a stamp machine ! By the way ....Does anybody know where to get a stamp in this town , after the counter is closed at the post office ?

I think Kroger still sells stamps.

2 Wal-Mart has an aggressive growth strategy planned for the next two years. I'll be very surprised if K-Mart and/or Magic Mart make it through this next round. The you'll pay mom and pop through the nose or drive to Bristol. Some "mom and pops" care about their communities and contribute back, others care only about their pocket book. Wal-Mart is one of the largest corporate givers in the world (and they can well afford to be, I agree). Bottom line is this: Like it or not Wal-Mart is here to stay. They have one of the best business plans ever developed. They manage to turn their product over so quickly that most of the time they have made their profit before they ever get the bill from the supplier. And NOBODY can compete with them in the longterm, not when Wal-Mart can set their own price for the goods they buy and then sell to us. |

1 I don't shop at the over priced local merchants anyway, because they usually try to appeal to the more well to do in this town, and shun the lesser income individuals. If I honestly thought that some of these places actually were interested in my business I would frequent their establishments; however, as I can't afford their wares then I guess I'm stuck with Wally World or Target. The true individual establishments in this town that still catered to the little man died out long ago, most likely when the shopping centers went in, and not a peep was heard. Now all that is left are the specialty shops, and you can keep them up yourselves anti-Wal-marters. Remember only you can keep overpriced exclusive specialty shops in business, I travel to exit 7 just to avoid them. |
