Those three cops who went into the club that nite didn't intend on shooting anyone - they were there to scope out the club and to have the club's liquor license revoked. They were there undercover; with no intentions of shooting anyone - they were doing their jobs. They saw suspicious activity and if I see people fighting and I see someone reach down into their pants, it would definitely make me think they were reaching for a gun; not "as a symbol of peace" as the court's transcripts say. C'mon people...they said when white people speak up, they're members of the KKK or something; when a black speaks up, we all have to listen...Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson are using their own race for financial prosperity. Once America wakes up and takes out all of these crooked "politicians", then we will be able to breathe! And to all who disagree with me, that's fine too - these 3 cops will never work again in the NYPD - they're done and disgraced - for NO REASON!!

I fully support the judge's verdict in this decision. While it's nothing short of a tragedy that Sean Bell died, he died a victim of the company he kept, not the police. The police in this matter are not rogue, reckless cowboys. They reacted as best they could in a difficult situation. Police cannot properly do their jobs protecting citizens if they have to constantly second guess themselves and worry about being arrested or getting sued (as we've seen by Sean Bell's friends in this case).
Kudos to the judge - I applaud his ability to see this case for the facts vs. the emotions

I think that this was wrong judgement the judge favor in the police side and justice was not served because you just can't shoot 50 bullets in to someone body and then say not guilty you know i think that the bell family should seek further into this sistuion and find justice but there is something called karma those police officer know they did it and how they did it. justice will be served what if someone else got hurt with all those bullets flying then what would they say then ? you know this hole law enforcement is screwed up why is it everytime a black or hispanic person get's killed or something what ever happen to the marther luther king dream ? they need to stop this and to the bell family i am with you guy's 100% it's a shame how they think just because the judge says not guilty that it's over you guy's should take this more higher and seek justice no child should never grow up with out a father what happen's when he ask his/her mother mommy where's daddy" what is she goign to tell her/he that daddy was killed by some police officer who is here to help us and protect us then what is going to happen i don't think i feel safe anymore because the police officer of the world think they can do what ever they want and get away with it.from: Amrita Allie

After reading The Plexus Agenda by Andre Lewis, I truly believe that, like Sean Bell, the system is out to get all blacks.

I agree -- emotions vs the right thing to do, Sean and his Friends should have considered these guys could have been officers,
The Officer - 50 bullets unhuman, but
again, so many emotions and the right to pertect ALL from crime.

The perfect mix for death..

I think the judge should have considerd the 50 shots fired if anything.

Thank God for the verdict. These police officers were there to do a job, they were not running around the city with a gun trying to rob or beat up someone. Unfortunately something happened to cause the shooting. The thugs that were with Bell will have a grand life with the coming lawsuits. These police officers lives are ruined. Hopefully they will have a job to go back to. They will always have to look over their shoulder.

Slavery was a very very long time ago. Who exactly should say they are sorry? Holocust victims have rose above it. Jewish men and women have become very successful in this world contributing greatly. They have never let the holocust keep them down or use it as an excuse for failure. Slavery is an old excuse. The government does so much to help out the black community, between, grants, loans, funding, housing, welfare, daycare.. the list is endless. Programs that are sometimes not available to white people in white areas? When does the word thank you come out of the mouths of black men and women? or any minority If America is so bad and black people can't get past slavery then move back to Africa plain and simple. But i don't think the african government can help like America can. I think we have come a long way since slavery. These were criminals. They lied on the stand and try to run over a police officer. They sold drugs to young black men and women. Is that because of slavery? I think bring slavery into this is sad.. remember those police officers were black too. Can't just pin in all on Officer Oliver.

Wow! Everyone, please stop! Don’t you see that your emotions are interfering with your sense of truth? Stop for a moment and honestly analyze Bell’s verdict. Anyone who feels, thinks, or believes the verdict was a “travesty of justice” and gives police officers a “license to kill” young black people, are sadly mistaken and frankly, are also dreadfully delusional. This also demonstrates how badly informed and unenlightened they are when it comes to how the American criminal justice system truly works.

To all those who disagree with the decision of a criminal justice professional, who has studied and practiced criminal law for over 50 years – yes, OVER 50 years of experience – I would like to pose one simple question: Can any of you, who disagreed with this enormously knowledgeable judge, intellectually explain and fully apply the Pythagorean Theorem with accuracy to a layperson or a student who never heard of this theorem before? Chances are you cannot do so, unless you have had extensive mathematical exposure through a combination of math courses and practical “real world” familiarity. Since you probably can’t solve nor intellectually explain a complex mathematical equation with this or any other theorem, how in the world can you even agree or disagree with a mathematician’s conclusion? Doing so, without the proper background, will make obvious how much you really do not know anything about the greater picture – the nuances – that is concerned with solving a multifaceted mathematical equation, which includes basic algebra or geometry.

This is exactly the problem with all of these negative and baseless opinions/speeches we now have against the NYPD, these three officers, and arguably, our highly developed criminal justice system as a whole. The main difference between my mathematical example above and the Bell’s verdict is the commercialization and glamorization of crime in our daily newspapers, magazines, and radio and television news programs or docudramas, such as “Court TV” or the “Law and Order” series. As a result of this commercialization and glamorization of crime, public perception of the criminal justice system is full of harmful innuendos and creates a sense of thinking, feeling, and believing that “the system failed” them when they don’t get what they want. So, now, without substantive proof that the system actually failed them, they think they have the right to debate and criticize the entire criminal process, even though the chances are they themselves do NOT have the proper credentials, education, experience, or training to deal with a complicated court proceeding, such as the Bell’s case. It is academically, intellectually unsound to approach a particular topic, such as the Pythagorean Theorem or the Bell’s case, and just feel, think, or believe you can have a rational and logical debate. Doesn’t that sound insane or is it just me?

Anyone who still feels, thinks, or believes the verdict was a “travesty of justice” I would like to see your credentials and let us compare them to the Honorable Judge Cooperman. Then and only then, we (the people of New York City) can have a meaningful, intelligent, and worthwhile discussion about Cooperman’s verdict, bringing a firm comprehension of exactly what occurred in that courtroom. Anything outside of that is purely unacceptable and merely perpetuates the ignorance many people have of the American criminal justice system. As the English poet Thomas Gray stated,“Where ignorance is bliss,‘Tis folly to be wise.”

If Mr. Bell had stayed home with his girlfriend and children he would still be alive. Since when do you have children, then have a bachelor party and get married. What happened to the old adage, first you get married, then you have the children. How come no one comes up with this plan. 64836

IF THE OFFICERS WAS BLACK AND SHOOT A YOUNG WHITE MALE OR FEMALE IT WOULD HAVE NOT TAKEN ALL THIS TIME TO FIGURE OUT WHAT PRISION THEY WOULD BE PLACED IN, THE JUDGE SHOULD BE ASKED WHAT IF THAT WAS HIS SON WOULD HE CARE OR, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN ANOTHER AY OF WORK FOR HIM.I WISH THAT ONE DAY WE ALL WOULD TREATED FAIR,BUT MLK JR. HAD THAT SAME DREAM BUT YET WE ARE STILL WAITING.GOD BLESS THE FAMILY

I know that whenever the police shoot an white person in Southern California, a bunch of us find a Methodist minister to rally around, but none of the news media want to show him complaining about a white guy being shot. We get so angry that we all go down to a local mall and break the windows and steal televisions and couches. There's nothing like looting to prove how unfair we white people are treated.

PEOPLE...You can't say this is a black/white issue. Stop playing the racial card. Two of the three cops who were involved in this case were black. Oh God, BLACK COPS GOT ACQUITTED?!.. That's justice in itself, isn't it? Stop the bullcrap America. EVERYONE WAS HAPPY WHEN OJ WAS ACQUITTED, WHY NOT THESE COPS? Stop this damn racial card crap. IT'S NOT WHITE COPS VS BLACK COPS.
