Why are we becoming more liberal on homosexuality but not abortion?

I think because the baby inside is a living organism. I'm pro-choice, but not pro-abortion, big difference. I think abortions should be strongly discouraged and used only as a last resort but it's ultimately up to the woman what to do with her body. Being gay or marrying the same sex isn't ending a human life.

I believe there are many ways to prevent abortions such as adoption, condoms, contraceptives, and birth control for women AND MEN. Of course Republicans are against those too.

Because they are not related in any way.

Abortion is an "ending", any way you look at it. And many people look at it as ending the life of a baby. If you believe that, there there is NO wiggle room, and no option to "learn" differently.

Being gay is not an ending, and harms no one and nothing.

Abortion is an ending. I am pro choice but not pro abortion. I do not believe anyone is pro abortion. We all want to reduce the number of abortions but it is her choice. I hate conservatives who claim to be pro life and want abortion illegal but also cut programs to help woman with children. They want to insist the baby must be born but do not care about the children after birth.

and what are you talking about? Abortion has been legal for how long?

I feel abortion is very wrong. Although I think it should be legal because otherwise people will end up hurt because they'll be doing it themselves or in some back alley somewhere.

Because abortion is murder.

And homosexuality is FUN !

Don't you mean you are pro-choice as long as they make decisions that you support? Do you support men forcing women to have abortions? How about children being given the right to die?

If women are more likely to have abortions in countries where it is banned as opposed to those that have decriminalized the procedure, I have to ask, who is really pro-death? Not to mention women die far more frequently from pregnancy and unsafe abortions on your side of the fence.

So again, passing laws which decriminalized abortion has saved lives. What do you have to show? Oh yeah, abortion photos and emotionally made arguments...wow.

Because there are enough people who just couldn't care less where someone sticks their dick. When it comes to abortion, we are talking about a human life, religion and every contradiction that comes with it. Here's a list of pro's and cons to consider:

Pro-
1.It's a woman's body and since pregnancy is her burden, she should have the right not to bear that burden.
2. Is it a better decision to terminate a pregnancy than to allow a child be be born that will have no one to care or provide for it? You just create more Casey Anthony's.
3. Not everyone believes in religion, which is where most laws are based from.
4. Many unwanted children are born. When that happens, mommy goes on welfare and now her and her offspring are living off the dole and has become a burden on all of us.
5. Abortion is a necessary evil, every much so as the death penalty. There will always be cases of incest, rape and life threatening conditions in some pregnancies.

Con-
1. Everyone has a right to life.The baby is a human life that can't speak or defend itself.
2. You did the deed, now own it. It's your fault you had sex. You knew it was a risk.
3. Adoption or other family is always an option.
4. If killing a 25 year old is murder, if killing a 5 year old is murder, then why isn't killing a 5 week old? Taking a human life is murder, no matter how long it's been alive.

Those are just for starters, but I just listed the top 5 I always here in the abortion debate. I don't think there is any right or wrong answer. it's one that a person needs to decide for themselves.

Exactly.

I do not want to make abortion illegal, but I would love to make it irrelevant and unnecessary. I have the greatest respect for those people that actually walk the walk to make that happen.

I have always been pro-choice.However,I do support abortion to:Save the life of the mother;In cases of Rape and Incest.In my opinion,homosexuality is a non-issue,except among the bigots;and,consenting adults have the natural and God given right to choose their partner.

Except for a few radicals the church has never been against gays. Speaking for my faith, christains are not against homosexuals, never have been. We don't agree with your life style but that doesn't mean that we don't care about you as people. We are against same sex marriage and that still stands.
