I don't "abuse" people, and have no taste for ham,CherryTheTart.
But it hasn't escaped notice that you have received your 'just desserts' by others in this FORUM. Life is just the pits, isn't it?
Pardon me...just my opinion. Please forgive my wit -- or halfwit, as you might prefer. It's an inherited trait from my father.
You actually got through a whole post without lecturing/preaching. Kool. Keep it up.

I notice that the more annoyed Lux gets, the longer its posts get. LOL.
Who's annoyed? I just quoted verbatim Abby Johnson's epiphany from her autobiography.

Of course, I also have no objections to further spurring sales of a great book that, two months after its release, continues to hold its #1 rank on the "Abortion and Birth Control" Amazon.com nonfiction list.

And why do you suppose the top-ranked pro-abort autobiography on that list [ http://www.amazon.com/gp/bestsellers/books/27... ] stumbles in at #15?

"Great Moments in My Baby-Exterminating Abortionist Career" is selling about as poorly as pro-aborts' shopworn slogans these days.

trust me lux, your posts get to her big time. she would never in a million years admit it because she knows you have facts that are true. she does not deal in truth or for that matter, reality.

They're hoping their combined total of 68,771 posts (can you spell "Topix addiction," children?) earns them dinner with NARAL President Nancy Keenan.

They can buy Nancy a lot of stiff drinks to assuage her pain.

" The group [NARAL] just released survey results showing an “intensity gap” among young voters. More than half of pro-lifers under age 30 considered abortion a “very important” voting issue, compared to just one-quarter of abortion-minded youth. This comes at the heels of a Gallup poll announcing that 18- to 29-year-olds are now the most likely, of all age groups, to favor making abortion illegal in all circumstances.

"The wave of pro-life passion puzzles NARAL President Nancy Keenan. In this week’s Newsweek [ http://www.lifeissues.org/breakingnews/2010/N... ] magazine, Keenan recalled her visit to the March for Life rally in Washington, DC. The annual event drew tens of thousands of energized pro-lifers.“I just thought, my gosh, they are so young,” she told the reporter.“There are so many of them, and they are so young.”

"Pro-abortion activists aren’t accustomed to seeing so many young people in their circles. A natural outshoot of choosing a line of work that promotes death. But like most other aging abortion proponents, Keenan can’t seem to connect the dots. Where, they marvel, have all their young supporters gone? Former NARAL President Kate Michelman admits information is on the side of pro-lifers.“The technology has clearly helped to define how people think about a fetus as a full, breathing human being,” she told Newsweek.“The other side has been able to use the technology to its own end.”

68, you say? Well, that explains it. I think "A. F.(A Former) Christian" saw Cherry at a recent pro-abort rally.

A. F. Christian writes,

"Now, let's begin by noticing that there *is* such a thing as an Atheist position on abortion -- namely, that just about every Bright in history or currently in print is in favor of it. At first, I have to admit, I didn't quite get why everybody should be so North-Korean-election lopsided about this. After all, we Atheists are supposed to be Freethinkers .... You can scour almost all contemporary works on our side and find not a molecule of difference on the question of the morality of abortion.

"... unfortunately for us guys who want to protect the so-called right to abortion at all costs, those pro-life rallies on the Mall every January are *nothing* like the rallies that the pro-abortion people stage. You know those *other* rallies, I'm sure -- the ones full of grim ladies well past aborting age, marching with coat hangers as their emblems, yelling about their "right" to end the pregnancies they'll never have again.

"No, the pro-lifers and *their* rallies are a different world altogether. There are children, families, and teenagers *everywhere*. There are kids playing Frisbee. Kids holding hands. Kids horsing around and shoving each other. Kids with earrings and tattoos. Kids with rosaries. Kids wearing T-shirts that read,'I'm adopted and thanks, Mom, for having me.' Kids, kids, kids, kids,*kids*-- are You getting the horrible drift here? It's more like a rave or rock concert than an ordinary political event -- I mean, it *would* be, only the kids are a lot more healthy-looking and there aren't any drugs, of course.

"I cannot emphasize enough how *seriously bad* it is for us Atheists that the face of the pro-life movement is a *youthful* face....

"...When *those* kids look at those pictures at the rallies, they don't see what nonbelievers see -- a mistake of Nature 'fixed' somehow by violent human intervention. No, they see something else -- what their baby sister looked like four years ago on the sonogram, what they themselves were not very long ago. They see themselves. They see their friends. They see their *siblings*....

"Sonography: How can we Atheists get rid of it? Or at least make it harder to get at? It's been nothing less than one big conveyer belt to that old debbil, the Christian moral high ground, ever since its diabolical, as it were, invention."

Oh my!

I thought she is the age of my ex (she also was in the witch-stuff). Brrrrr!

I guess I will have to take it more easy on her so she does not suffer a stroke?

Looks like some nursing homes have nothing to offer to keep their clients busy?

68....

Yes, that explains a lot.

The fear to be forgotten in life and to be reduced to rubble and a nothing. The fear to be left alone while the children left the house and one being considered

I have to reread Erich Grond and his work about people and geronto-psychiatry. Maybe I find some more helpful hints how to handle older women who have a problem with themselves.

Btw., he is #1 in Europe writing books about gerontology.

Oh...demur to the Cherry because she is 68 years old (even though she calls one evil) but ignore consideration for the fetus in the womb because it may only be 6-8 weeks old?

"Therein lies the rub."

The neighbor nextdoor was riverrafting when she was 64! My grandson was doing the backstroke before he was born this week. All life should be valued.

There is no consistency in life; there certainly is no justice, and, boy, do we have loads of conflict! As my son used to say,
"peace out." (translation: peace to you, I'm outta here for a while.)

And so it goes...

Women have civil rights in this country and on of them is to get an abortion which is a legal medical procedure.
NO woman or man has the right to value a fetus over the value of a already born grown up female because that is sexist, and fascist.
You people who care soooooo much about the unborn are naked in your hypocrisy and hate of the female gender.

There is no such thing as a right to kill a defenseless baby. Most of the babies killed with abortion are of the female gender. Your blatant ageist bigotry is vulgar and obtuse.

If your were a rich girl or woman, you could get an abortion in a hospital, disguised as a D&C or because you were "mentally affected."

There was a doctor in PA doing abortions because of conscience.

All of these abortions were not recorded as well.

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Aquarius

If you're a typical Aquarian you're often quite idealistic and today is no exception. You're wandering around on cloud nine, especially if you're thinking about a very special someone, and indulging in all sorts of deliciously romantic daydreams. Reality? You've no time for it right now, because it will intrude too much on your fantasies.
