Obama Invokes God, Conservatives Cry Foul

There is no way that any of the republica policies are Christian. They cater only to extremely wealthy at the expense of everyone else and to the detriment of our environment. Republica's are the anti-Christ, but their sheep are too blind to see. They have closed minds. Open your mind and become a liberal progressive, or you are part of the problem.
All of us have one issue this year: economic fairness for all. See the "Sermon on the mount" for further clarity.

Is Obama right to bring God into election year, should he keep faith out of it? Or is he even sincere?

The Republican candidates bring up their 'faith' now and again. Obama can bring his up if he wishes. American voters can, and will, make up their mind about who is sincere and who is not. It isn't that difficult, just compare their policy or proposed policy to the faith (religion) they profess. Hopefully there will be some correlation, but don't bet your savings on it.

PLEASE don't remind me of obama's Rev. Wrights hatred of all things American...and, we elected Obama knowing how he felt about America!!! We should all be ashamed.

As a progressive Christian, I find this rather hilarious-- and extraordinarily hypocritical.

The conservatives whine and moan about "removing God" from the public sector at Christmastime.

They use their faiths as justification for opposing equal rights for gays.

They use their faith as a cudgel to call people who disagree on women's health issues "baby killers".

In short, they take enormous offense when anyone suggests that they keep their religious views out of government.

And yet, when Obama extrapolates the CLEAR, EXPLICIT teachings of Christ, and applies them to the way we, the people, should structure our government, they cry foul, and attack the argument with faulty reasoning.

Just more proof that the GOP is full of lying, morally bankrupt hypocrites.

At least President Obama didn't completely waste the morning giving these "Christians" a veneer of credibility.

At least his comments were biblically sound.

The US is not a theocracy.

What about Mr. Romeny when he said I believe in the bible. Talk about garbage, he believes in the book of Mormon not the bible. They say when they die they are going to be gods. So is god mormon? They believe more in Joseph Smith than Christ. Joseph Smith was more like Pancho Villa a damn bandit. They should of cut his nuts off when he was taking all the 12 and 13 year old girls for sexual gain. Joseph was a crystal ball gazer, wanted his own gov. he wanted to print his own money, so they nailed him in jail. He saw the gold plates with a pair of SPECIAL looking glasses, which the golden plates never existed. Where are they? Mormons don't like blacks or latinos. They Mormonism was to start a special race. Thats the way Romney is going to run the country. Either he turns the white house into a temple or he moves the white house to Salt Lake. The policies it enacts should ALWAYS reflect our core values, according to conservatives... unless, of course, we're talking about taxation, apparently. Or immigration reform. Or social justice.

Jeus wasn't admonishing a 'seperation[sic] between church and state! That's proposterous. He was saying that tax policy had nothing to do with Him.

But his morality was not meant to be cherry-picked, or applied on to certain segments of life.

Obamas's thinking parallel's that of Judas when it comes to scamming the people.

Yes, Obama is in the same page as Judas here----he is advocating ISCARIOTISM, not Christianity.

Interesting note: While, of course, Jesus saw thru Judas's play, ironically, the other disciples were taken in by Judas's public stance and some, when Judas was leaving the "Last Supper" to betray the Lord, thought to themselves, he is going to help the poor.

Now to keep the record straight, Barack is certainly as much a Christian as George Bush Sr, "W" and Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Typically I avoid discussions of religion because of replies like yours. Snark and sarcasm in matters of faith are offensive and insulting.

The trouble with religion in politics is that religion, like patriotism, is the easiest thing in the world to fake. I think politics is full of religious and patriotic frauds. People who make a big display of their religion or their patriotism are
people on the make, they want something. What does it say in the Bible about praying, go into your closet and pray? Rather than pull a Rick Perry and rent a whole stadium to do your praying in.
