Clint Eastwood defends Super Bowl ad

Full story: Chicago Tribune

Clint Eastwood defended his now-controversial Chrysler ad that aired during the Super bowl, in which he implored the nation to overcome its differences and work together to revive the economy, denying any ties to President Obama and saying that the spot was intended to be apolitical.

If it looks like a duck and walks like a duck, it's a duck.

If it looks like a shill and walks like a shill, it's Odoodle's shill.

It was the perfect ad at the perfect time as over a hundred million Americans who were watching the Super Bowl was hit with a powerfully patriotic ad narrated by an American icon with a subtle appreciation to President Obama for saving the American Auto Industry…

Every patriotic American who saw that ad felt a profound sense of love of country.

Clint is a registered republican with libertarian leanings.
he doesn't fit into the two-party system stereotypes.

Did you see the cars in the commercials, they were Chryslers. A company Obama bailed out with US tax payer dollars so it could be sold to Fiat an Italian company. Sorry I have a hard time getting red white and blue goose bumps over that.

He should stick to do you feel lucky kid.

And still owes us over a billion bucks... and lets not forget how he ignored our bankrupcy laws and screwed "secured" bond holders and gave the company to union thugs.

Yep.. no way was this a political ad.. no way would the unions pay back Mr Prez for breaking our laws in favor of union thugs.

Yea, America is in halftime, we need a new head coach if we're going to win the game. We're losing 72-0 with Obama as America's head coach.

Woof, Clint, It's more than "half time in America". Chrysler belongs to Fiat an Italian Company (58.5% of the stock with rights to buy all of the UAW owned stock). The "New Chrysler" (Chrysler Group) doesn't even honor warrantees on automobiles manufactured by the "Old Chrysler" (Chrysler Corp.), which no longer exists. It went bankrupt. We taxpayers honor the warrantees on vehicles manufactured by the "Old Chrysler" thanks to TARP. Why didn't you talk about an actual AMERICAN COMPANY instead of an ITALIAN COMPANY located in Detroit?

In Grand Torino, the charactor you played drove a Ford, and Ford did not take a hand out. Ford is an American Company. The Charactor you played in Grand Torino was a stand up guy with old American values. The Charactor you played in Grand Torino wouldn't like Clint Eastwood the actor who was suckered into playing the part in an obviously political ad by an Italian Auto manufacturer.

Clint, don't spin, get even, you were suckered.

On target, he should have picked a Ford and talked about picking our own selves up not making it through bail outs and foreign companies buying a piece of Detroit. I had always been a GM fan but since the days of GM meaning Government Motors bail out I am a blue oval kind of guy.

What is next Obama going to sell Harley Davidson to the Koreans and resurrect John Wayne to do a commercial about it.
