Jon Huntsman Sr, is business partners with Robert C. Gay, who also happened to be Bain's managing director between 1989 and 2004. And if anyone knows the machinations Bain used to evade taxes for itself and its partners, well, it would be the guy in charge of the firm's finances.
Huntsman is also a Republican and a Mormon (like Harry Reid). As governor of next-door Utah, his son (who also served in the Obama administration as ambassador to China) likely developed a close working relationship on regional issues.
Want more? The Huntsman family gave some serious scratch to Reid's reelection campaign" K

I told you Ryan/Romney/AntiChrist.
FLASH: THIS JUST IN FROM THE SAVE OUR NATION NETWORK........Obama personal approval has dropped from a high of 61% to now a low of 38%. Most of this drop is due to the negativity shown by Obama's campaign. Ads proven and checked to be false are still hitting the air waves. A sure sign of desperation both in voters and money.

Rubbish!

If our politicians wore suits like NASCAR... awash with their corporate sponsor/owners logos, the suit would contain only logos!

At least we would know whom controlled the candidates.

Koch Bros 2012?

These boys see Mittens as 'poor' with a paltry 250 million. Mitts 13% tax is probably correct as only 13% of his cash resides in the USA.

This has the 80s written all over it but one area:

On the Nixon, Ford and Carter watches of the decade of the 70s, we were in a terrible recession with gas lines and high interest rates running 16% on that new house and for older people a cozy 16% on CDs in the bank. That’s not the kind of CD you put in your computer. We had odd and even number gas days which meant if you had a car, you were only allowed to get a certain amount of gas on the day of your tag number; odd or even number. That number that came first on your tag. People were complaining about the economy but no one was arguing over politics. You would lightly hear from far away left of center blaming Nixon and his breaking in of the Democratic National Party at Watergate and the failure of Ford the falling down klutz and then later, the other side of center blaming Carter but no one argued over anything. Everyone was in the same boat. The Independent counsel law had gone into effect when Nixon left office and it wasn’t to expire until 2000 which would make it extra easy to impeach a President for nearly anything. People awaited a hero to come save them and then came Reagan and the crowds and popularity. See Obama 2008 for another situation after eight years of recession for the crowds and popularity.

Under Reagan the recessions continued and eventually lead to a stock market crash. Reagan bailed the banks out in his first term and everything thought the banks would go under but everyone was in it together and still just in the distance you would hear one side praise Reagan and another say he was part of the continued problem. In the 70s, there was no political talk radio and no Cable News or political spinning heads on Cable. Even in most of the 80s there was no talk radio but there started to become spinning heads on regular daytime TV but not during prime time or pretending to be news. Under Reagan, the deficit went up the highest in American history and not through war time but through credit card time to sort of get cash advances for the public from the government and make things seem a little easier only to bill the nation. Nancy was spending millions decorating the White house and Reagan was always taking those long vacations out West for a month or more at a time sometimes. Democrats would rumble he was too old and a do nothing President and Republicans would not only defend him but place him on a pedestal later crediting him with the fall of the USSR of all impossible things for a President. The economy seemed a little better but we were still in recession until the greatest economy in history under Clinton or on his watch. Democrats said it would take more than 40 years to pay the deficit off which was paid off in Clinton’s first term just like now, Republicans claim the deficit will never be paid off even though, most of it rang up in the eight years before Obama.

It seems were are in a similar 80s pattern. The stock market already crash before Obama in 08 and the DJI is so high now, it is due for a pullback that will look like a crash. There have been flash crashes. The crowds were there in 08 for Obama like 1980 for Reagan but in the time going into Reagan’s second term, the crowds were not around however; he won the Electoral College in a landslide that could never be won again since of the changes. Obama won it in a landslide too and when that happens in one term, it is almost impossible to lose the 2nd term which is why chances are high in a few weeks, Obama will do like Reagan and win again. The only difference I notice is the pure hate, propaganda incitement on Radio and TV which is not free speech. It is inciting a riot or other violence if you listen to Savage nation, Rush and others. They are NOT using free speech. They are yelling fire in a crowded theater. Sorry but that is true. At least in 1980, we had an Independent named Anderson run for President. He lost but we had a party.

White House Sets Ground Rules for Local Interviews
by Keith Koffler on August 21, 2012, 11:20 am

The White House is doing something with its local TV interviews that it could not easily get away with in encounters with the White House press corps, which President Obama has been studiously ignoring: choosing the topic about which President Obama and the reporter will talk.

In interviews with three local TV stations Monday, two from states critical to Obama’s reelection effort, Obama held forth on the possibility of “sequestration” if he and Congress fail to reach a budget deal, allowing him to make his favorite political point that Republicans are willing to cause grievous harm to the economy and jobs in order to protect the rich from tax increases.

In the 60's 70's 80"s and 90's the average return in the stock market was 8% per year. the Dow Jones market would have to be at 35000 !! right now, to be able to get 8% a year from 2008 to 2012
PS Obama is raising your tax rate from 25% to 28%
on Jan. 01 2013. add in state and local taxes your taxes will be between 43% to 51% depending on your state. Don't you love the Liberals !!
People who make over 250K a year ,you don't even want me to say what your tax rate is going to be.
All this, and Im not including obamacare.
How much tax will I pay if I'm a Romney? I hope NONE. Cuz I'm rich. Taxing me is wrong.

You are gallantly misinformed -- allow me to help you with those pesky FACTS.
The extension of the Bush Lite tax cuts, which Obama signed, expires on December 31, 2012. There is no bill re-extending them awaiting his signature, so please don't blame Obama for what does not exist.
I will gladly say what the top marginal rate will be for those who earn over $250,000 per year -- 38%. This rate simply returns to the pre-Bush Lite amount -- you know, the amount in effect DURING the economic boom of the 1990s. The amount in effect when there were several years of annual budgetary surpluses -- terrible things that Bush Lite got rid of FAST!
You are free to disagree with the President and dislike him as well -- just don't spread lots of BS falsehoods when doing so. We can tell.
Speaking of BS falsehoods.... these budgetary surpluses you talk about....are you referrring to Clinton years???????? I hope not....if so, I've got some PESKY FACTS that you may not like! Just saying.

Daily Horoscope for May 20

Taurus

If a friend has been bugging you recently, you are likely to have a few sharp words with them today. However, least said soonest mended, so don't labour the point or turn them against you. Besides, you have better things to do with your time now, such as taking part in a big gathering of likeminded people or having a long chat with one special person.
