You know we shouldn't be fighting all the time. There are less than 5 months until election day when the people will decide who will be the next President of the United States. The person elected will be the president of all Americans, not just the Democrats or the Republicans.
It’s time that we all need to come together, Democrats, Independents, and Republicans alike.
So in a bi-partisan effort for America:
If you will be supporting Mitt Romney, please drive with your headlights ON during the day.
If you support Barack Obama, please drive with your headlights OFF at night.
Together, we can make it happen.
Thank you!
Mitt Romney ran for governor of Massachusetts promising more jobs, less debt, and smaller government. Here’s what Massachusetts got instead:

*Jobs: 47th out of 50 states in job creation
As the nation’s economy grew and the median income rose, under Romney, Massachusetts plummeted from 36th to 47th out of 50 states in job creation, and the median income declined.

*Taxes and fees: Increased by $750 million per year
As governor, Romney increased taxes and fees by as much as $750 million per year.

*Long-term debt: Increased more than $2.6 billion
Governor Romney left behind a $1 billion budget deficit for the next governor and saddled Massachusetts taxpayers with more debt per person than any other state.

*Outsourcing: State jobs outsourced overseas
as CEO, Mitt Romney advised companies that were “pioneers” in outsourcing jobs overseas. As governor, Romney drew from the same playbook and outsourced state jobs. And today, Romney has proposed eliminating all taxes on companies’ foreign profits—which would actually encourage companies to send jobs overseas.

*Manufacturing: Jobs declined at twice the national rate
Under Romney’s leadership, Massachusetts manufacturing declined by double the national rate, and was the third-worst overall in the country.

Romney Economics didn't work then, and won't work now.
I'd like to see if any conservatives wanna comment on this?
ANYONE?

49% of the People do not pay federal income tax.(Though it is deducted throughout the year, they receive all of it, and oftentimes more than they paid out, back).

The top 20% of earners make up 53.4% of the total income and pay 67.2% of the total taxes. This is already much more than the "fair share" that you want them to pay, and statistically speaking, is much more than you are paying in taxes (if you are paying any at all).

If all Americans paid their fair share, they would be paying $8,174 for each person in their household. The average family would be paying $28,609. With a median family income of $51,914 (according to the Census), more than half of your income would be used for federal taxes alone. So yes, people do not pay their "fair share" in taxes. And you ought to be happy that they don't, because You could not afford it if you did.

It's economics 101, not quantum physics.
Those Americans also make low wages and struggle to support thier family (especially after payroll taxes and insurance are taken out). Even those in that 47% still pay state and local taxes. They pay sales taxes on anything they buy. So the government still gets it's money.

250k was picked because 95% of the country would fall UNDER that level, meaning, a large majority of the country gets a tax break. Is that so bad? I thought you guys loved tax cuts? Oh, right, only when it's given to people making lots of money.

It can't be "all Americans" because there are people in this country who cannot AFFORD to pay income tax, they would be homeless, or go without food, or clothing.

Understand?

So are you saying Nancy Pelosi could not pay her women employees more if she wanted to?

"House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D., Calif.) refused to answer questions about Senate Democrats paying their female staff members less than male staffers on Thursday. She may have ducked the question because a Washington Free Beacon analysis shows she pays the women on her staff $26,606 less per year on average.

According to publicly available salary data at the website Legistorm, Pelosi’s female employees earned an average annual salary of $96,394 in fiscal year 2011. Male employees earned $123,000 on average, a difference of 27.6 percent.

The gap is even larger if calculated using the median salaries for men and women. For Pelosi’s female employees, the median annual salary was $93,320 in 2011, compared to $130,455 for male employees—a difference of $37,135, or 40 percent.

Pelosi’s entire staff—men and women—earned an average annual salary of $108,150 and a median salary of $114,662. By both measures, women made considerably less.

Only current full-time staff members in Pelosi’s personal office, the office of the minority leader, and others under her purview, who were employed for the entirety of fiscal year 2011, were considered in the analysis.

Democrats often cite a pay gap of 23 percent between the sexes; by any measure, Pelosi’s pay gap is much higher. The Democrats’ figure is based on a 2010 U.S. Census Bureau report, and is technically accurate...

You live in La La land.

According to an NBC affiliate in Indianapolis, illegal aliens are getting billions of U.S. tax dollars in refundable tax credits for nieces, nephews, and other relatives back in Mexico, because the IRS has allowed illegal aliens to claim such credits on their tax returns, for people they list as "dependents." (Nearly three quarters of tax returns filed by illegal aliens received such tax credits). For example, an illegal alien with $14,000 in income not only paid no taxes, but received a refund of $10,000. In another case, illegal aliens used a phony address to claim 20 relatives as dependents and get thousands in refunds.

The I.R.S. has paid out billions in refunds to illegal aliens due to this refundable "additional child tax credit," which gives eligible families $1000 per child, ignoring warnings about these abuses from the agency's own inspector general.

The I.R.S. web site suggests that illegal aliens can claim Mexican relatives as dependents for purpose of the tax code's personal exemption (an invitation to fraud, since Mexican children, unlike American children, do not have social security numbers or other federal records of their existence), but not for purposes of the $1,000 per child tax credit that can be refunded to people who pay little or no income taxes to begin with.

But in practice, illegal aliens are getting both, including the more valuable tax credit they are not legally eligible for. The IRS apparently rubberstamps claims for the tax credit by illegal aliens who list sometimes non-existent Mexican relatives as dependents.

Many members of the GOP-controlled House of Representatives, like Dan Burton (R-Ind.), are outraged by these abuses. But the Obama Administration has resisted doing anything about the abuses, and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) is likely to block any attempt to curb these abuses in the Senate.

It's unfortunate that with only 13% of the US population, Black Americans also comprise 39% of Welfare Recipients, and 65% of prison inmates.
Both institutions cost huge amounts each year to the tax payer.
Add to that, Affirmative Action which sets a side positions for minorities rather than the most qualified applicant.
That is not doing anything to do away with racism or discrimination. And MLK jr. knew that. He had a dream if a day when a man is judged by his character and Merit rather than the color of his skin.
All Affirmative Action and Entitlements do is promote and extend racism and discrimination. We The People need to eliminate race and gender from all applications. Make sure the best candidate gets the position. Then no one can be accused of being in a position because of set a sides, being black, being female, or being gay.
America needs to return to being the best, by accepting, promoting, and hiring the best.
Who's the best? If denied every opportunity in the work field and education (not to mention health care, etc.) who are you to say who's the best and what are your qualifications to say so? You speak from your perspective and reality, there are a billion realities in this world and yours is only one of 13%!

Those top 15% include many of the middle class. and make about 90% of the wealth.
do I need to go into the math of the whole thing for you?
Now considering the top 5% their employers tax them for their labor far less than they tax the blue collar workers for theirs. Most times the top 5% is the employer so the only one reducing the value of what they produce is the government.
When it comes to blue collar jobs, the employer reduces the value of what they produce with their bare hands by giving them a much lower wage than what their product is worth, and then the government taxes them on top of it.

Obama is still the Liar King

"Obama has been less than honest about many things. Some of his biggest distortions should be the subject of sustained soul- searching on the part of the media.
For instance, as New York Times reporter Janny Scott first reported over a year ago, Obama lied about his cancer-stricken mother being denied coverage for her pre-existing condition. Yes, he was close to the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and former terrorist Bill Ayers. Yes, he was a member of the socialist New Party (as my National Review colleague Stanley Kurtz has documented).

In the spirit of charity, some of the lies can be chalked up, at least in part, to fanciful family narratives. Obama claims his maternal grandfather fought in Patton’s army and liberated Nazi death camps. He says his paternal grandfather was tortured by the British imperialists in Kenya. He’s claimed his Indonesian stepgrandfather was killed by the Dutch while fighting for independence.
None of that is true.

What I find more interesting are the lies Obama tells not so much about himself, but about society. In “Dreams from My Father,” Obama tells readers that he struggled with racism and racial alienation all his life. He wasn’t a starter on his high school basketball team because he played “black” while his coach coached “white.” He confabulated a black friend in high school who, like himself, was shunned for racial reasons. He wrote of a “big fight” with a white ex-girlfriend who, after seeing a racially charged play,“started talking about why black people were so angry all the time.”

As Maraniss methodically shows, these and other tales of racial woe were false. His coach didn’t start him because he wasn’t good enough to start. His friend in high school was half-Japanese, not black, and neither of them were racially ostracized. The girlfriend, Genevieve Cook, never saw the play and never said anything of the sort. And so on.
