The second round of defense cuts was included in a budget deal last year between Congress and President Barack Obama. The cuts were believed to be so extreme they would encourage rival Republicans and Democrats to compromise on alternative ways to reduce the country's trillion-dollar budget deficits.
But lawmakers failed to reach a compromise late last year, so the across-the-board cuts are scheduled to go into effect after the beginning of the year under a process known as sequestration.

Proof that Republicans are being successful in depressing wages of Americans to mirror China's labor rate.

. GOP governors like Scott Walker are going bold with such model. Their first obstacle has been the Labor Unions, more precisely Public sector Labor Unions. Once unions get dismantled completely, American workers will have nobody to help them fight abuses from Big-Biz. With high unemployment, there is no incentive for Big-Biz to make fair salary offers to American workers.

Mr. Romney wishes to complete the wage depression cycle started under Dick Cheney....

Rich Money and his 1% have nothing to lose and everything to gain if he gets elected and we go through another Bush Recession.

John Boehner: "We are not going to raise taxes on the very people that we expect to reinvest in our economy and to help grow jobs."

So are the "job creators" creating jobs or not? Are they failing their economic duties or should the government step in and fulfill their duties?

"...the most obvious piece of evidence of GOP premeditated malice is the 2010 quote from Senate minority leader, Mitch McConnell:

"The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president."

Such words lead some to the conclusion that Republicans will do anything, including short-circuiting the economy, in order to hurt Obama politically. Considering that presidents – and rarely opposition parties – are held electorally responsible for economic calamity, it's not a bad political strategy."

. To protect their interest, Fatcats pay retainers to their lawyers and bribes to their local politicians
. American workers pay dues to their unions hoping to get some protection from abusive employers
. Once GOP crooks get to completely crush unions, American workers are left naked at the mercy of cut-throat corporations like Bain Capital
. With high unemployment and the threat of outsourcing, there is nowhere for the American workers to go. So, it becomes slavery all over again, but this time, regardless of race, we are all in it together as slaves to our bosses

Yes, Big-biz want to put their boots in our gullible and stupid behinds then ask us to lick them up clean.

You of course fail to remember Obama said he would agree to a proposal and when given what he ask for, back peddled and refused to agree to the proposal.

I think Larry Simpson and Barney Frank helped with the title.

the US outspends on every other country on the planet, more than 4 times any other country!
US-$711billion
China-$143 Billion
Russia-$72 Billion
UK-$63 Billion

etc., etc., etc.

-
(you know as well as anyone else does that bailing out the US automakers was needed, that industry lends to so many others that if it wasn't done US unemployment would be closer to 50%.
and, if you want to talk about what the US gave to Iran we can, but I think the conversation should include warheads, don't you?)
