Perhaps he's smiling because that's what clueless apes do with their time.

Another reason for his "glee" is that he might have no plans to leave the White Houseafter all, if Obama wins the election. It's all too easy for Bush to create another of his "emergencies" between November and Inauguration Day in January, and then declare martial law, effectively shutting down every part of the government, leaving all power and decisions in Bush's hands for as long as he determines. Who's going to stop him? Who ever stopped him from anything he set his mind to?

Yes, the perfect set-up for declaring martial law when the time is politically correct for him. He likes to set the stage for his big "surprises".
Just like McCain making that statement about Al Qaeda going to intefere with our elections. It seems clear that McCain knows that SOMEBODY is going to interfere with them, but he wants the finger to be already pointed at Al Qaeda, rather than the real culprit(s).

Yep, and the moon is made of green cheese.
Maybe you've been living in a cave the past 8 years, but your "optimism" about Bush has little or no basis in reality, keeping you in a cozy state of denial. What in the hell would he have to do to show you what an inept maniacal bully he really is??? How many more innocent lives need to be lost? How many more Katrinas? How many people starving, dying, and losing their homes? How much more debt do we need to take on beyond the trillions he's already racked up for us??
You, my friend, need a big reality check.
Katrina? Talk about being in dire need of a reality check!!

The words of George Bush.

"Brownie your doing a heck of a job" while people were screaming
"Major combat operations are over in Iraq"
"I will not nation build" Iraq
"We are winning the war on terror" said week after week for three years.
"Osama Bin Laden wanted dead or alive" later "he doesn't matter anymore"
The constitution "just a goddamn piece of paper"
To Helen Thomas "What does Iraq have to do with 9/11? Nothing!"
Nov 07 "I believe in a strong dollar" dollar goes lower
Mar 08 "I believe in a strong dollar" dollar goes lower more

Yes, but are you man enough to be honest with, not only yourself, but the real world folks. George Bush is, at best, a has been pot head. At worst the most dangerous human on earth.

If selling The Grit makes you a better person then add my name to the list. However I do not think that it does. Admitting your mistakes does make you a better person. I think if more people in this country, that supported, and still do, GWB admitted how much harm he has done to the world we, the world would be a better place. I for one am not willing to go down with the good ship Freemason just because I was born in the USA. However, since I will not run from you crooks, I will eventually be killed by the same nuts you all have created.

And, if he does, I hope when they hit he is not down at the "lodge" playing "hide the salami" with one of his brothers.

The only people that will "interfere" with "our elections" are the Freemasons. Since day one in this country they have been manipulating the so called government. That is why this country is in such a screwed up mess. Oh, but the next election will "fix everything".....

I'm not the one making the idiotic statement that ANYONE that supported Bush doesn't work for a living. Yes, I voted for him. Am I disappointed in him? Hell yes! He's done nothing to secure our border with Mexico. There's no clear cut strategy for Iraq, etc. You need to read the post I replied to. That's the primary problem with far too many liberal nuts. They shoot from the hip at anything/anyone they disagree with. I have no clue as to his history of drug abuse. And, neither do you. Your "knowledge" is based upon hearsay and innuendo.

I think he's smiling because even though he has undoubtedly been the worst president this country has ever seen, the Democrats have been performing even worse. The only thing in the world right now with lower approval ratings than Dubya is the Democratic-controlled congress. Pelosi has failed to lead and outline a vision. Harry Reid has been the face of impotency more than the face of his party on the senate floor. Hillary's childish antics have cost the Democrats the presidency while Spitzer's immaturity has dominated the late-night talk show circuit for the past two weeks. He has been able to line his and his good buddies' pockets throughout his years as president as is about to get away with it. He was the first president with the audacity to take the Constitution of the United States, tear it up, stomp on it with glee and COMPLETELY GET AWAY WITH IT. Hell, he was even able to marry off his portly homely-looking alcoholic daughter. Little Bush has plenty to smile about.

How?

The "how" to Barack Obama is conveniently missing from all his articulate speeches.

They sure sound good, but where is his strategy?

This is a very good point and one that I think will come up in presidential debates with McCain if Obama wins the Democratic Nomination.

It will be very clear that he will have no idea how and McCain will have all the answers as to how. In the end it could be Hillary has a better chance of beating McCain, but I guess time will tell.

How? Very good question. Why hasn't anyone bothered to ask Hillary this question. She has yet to outline her vision, let alone her platform. She's railed against NAFTA, but hasn't said what she will do about it. She's railed against the war, but hasn't said how she'd manage troop withdrawal. She has offered one thing though, a bailout of irresponsible lenders and borrowers at taxpayer expense. I though he were running unmanageable deficits, can we afford to do such a thing? No answers from the Hill-Billy camp. She refuses to elaborate her "budget to save America". There isn't any information regarding taxation, mandatory spending programs, discretionary spending, monetary policy, etc. The economy is currently in a state of flux. How are we going to adapt to the change? Billary remains mum. Why doesn't she discuss China? It's amazing no one mentions China. American banks currently have 1.4 trillion in M1 (actual physical currency) reserves. China has over a trillion in actual currency in reserves. The only reason inflation hasn't completely brought us to our knees is China has been hoarding these reserves. However, they've emerged as a new superpower. They've also bankrolled Iraq for us. They have us under the gun. What are we going to do? I know one thing, inviting them over to stay in the Lincoln Bedroom will never prove to be a viable solution. So, Hillary's only answer to your "how" question has been to perpetuate and condone the very root of the problem (irresponsible lending and personal financing). I'll take "Yes we can" over that any day. Don't think I've forgotten about McCain, what has been his only response for "how". Again, I'll take "Yes we can" over "a hundred year war". You want to talk about how, let's talk about how
