there was no where close to 28000 people at the rally. I want this paper to contact the secret service and get the real number.

There was more than 10,000 people waiting in line at 2 pm. The line was more than a mile long it winded around and through the lower parking lots of ABT. and when the parking lots overflowed with people the line stretched down the road toward the river.
The republicans had about 40 or 50 ( I am being kind) people gathered downtown at a Palin/McCain rally.
What a mix of people who were waiting in line for hours to hear Obama speak young, middle aged, and older folks, white, native american, black, asian, a real cross section of WNC and it's cultures.

Kinda' looks like the Palin/swiftboating of Obama isn't working as the mavericks had planned.

The fire dept. had people 10 deep around the fence after the stadium filled at about 2pm.
10,000 were still in line when Obama started to speak. There must have been 50,000 people there.

You may not think you lie Hunter because you probably don't. You're just overly biased and uninformed.

"ASHEVILLE – Sen. Barack Obama focused on the country's economic woes and the healthcare system while lashing out at rival Sen. PS, Skip was not lying. If you open your stupid eyes and read his words he said. "There must have been 50,000 people there." So he may have guessed wrong, doesn't make a lie fool!

I wasn't there. Had better things to do, like sleeping for one.

If you really, really have to vote for a Republican, out of some misplaced craving for some misguided reason, save the vote for McCrory. It is the one Republican worth a vote. Not because he is so great, but because his opponent is such a sleeze-bag.

All the rest vote Democrat in oder to save this country.

Yep, this poster may not be lying. I was at the rally and was among the first group to get in. People kept pouring in for hours. When we left during the latter part of the speech in order to get ahead of the crowd, there were still people waiting.

I was there and I have photos of the crowd. My son and grandson were in the stadium, they also took pictures. Photos of the event are on yahoo news. Putting your head in the sand ( in your case its probably a darker and smelly-er place that you find your head in), doesn't change the facts.

But the capacity of the Asheville HS Stadium is only 3500. The pumped up numbers are comical.

Obama
By Bill Brown of the Billy Graham Team
Bill Brown, is a highly respected retired member of the Billy Graham team so, I take his assessment of Obama very seriously and for that reason accept his challenge to pass this on. I share his concern about the 'rock star' image Obama has and watch with growing concern at the celebrity status the media has foisted upon him. Here is hope this email informs you in a wise way. BW
__________
The Obama Tidal Wave
We are witnessing a political phenomenon with Barack Obama of rare magnitude.
His speeches have inspired millions and yet most of his followers have no idea of what he stands for except platitudes of 'Change' or that he says he will be a 'Uniter'.
The power of speech from a charismatic person truly can be a powerful thing. Certainly Billy Graham had charisma. Both his manner of speech and particularly the content changed millions.
On the extreme other hand, the charisma of Adolph Hitler, too, inspired millions and the results were catastrophic.
Barack Obama certainly is no Hitler or a Billy Graham, but for many Americans riding on the Obama Tidal Wave it is just like a surfer who might be ecstatic and euphoric while riding a tidal wave, but the reality of the ride is what happens when it hits shore.
Just Some of What Defines Barack Obama:
ยท He voted for partial birth abortion.
ยท He voted no on notifying parents of minors who get out-of-state abortions.
ยท Supports affirmative action in Colleges and Government (quotas)..
ยท In 2001 he questioned harsh penalties for drug dealing as being too severe.
ยท Says he will deal with street level drug dealing as minimum wage affair.
ยท Admitted his use of marijuana and cocaine in high school and in college.
ยท His religious convictions are very murky.
ยท He is willing to meet with Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, Kim Jung Il and Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.
ยท Has said that one of his first goals after being elected would be to have a conference with all Muslim nations. Why?
ยท Opposed the Patriot Act.
ยท First bill he signed that was ever passed was campaign finance reform.
ยท Voted to allow law suits against gun manufacturers.
ยท Supports universal health-care.
ยท Voted yes on providing habeas corpus for Guantanamo detainees.
ยท Supports granting driver's licenses to illegal immigrants.
ยท Supports extending welfare to illegal immigrants.
ยท Voted yes on comprehensive immigration reform.
ยท Voted yes on allowing illegal aliens to participate in Social Security.
ยท Wants to make the minimum wage a 'living wage'.
ยท Voted with Democratic Party 96 percent of 251 votes.(241 votes Demo, 10 votes Republican)
ยท Is a big believer in the separation of church and state.
ยท Opposed to any efforts to Privatize Social Security and instead supports
increasing the amount of tax paid into Soc. Sec. Tax Increase.
ยท He voted No on repealing the Alternative Minimum Tax which now hits middle income brackets. Tax Increase.
ยท He voted No on repealing the 'Death' Tax. Tax Increase.
ยท He wants to raise the Capital Gains Tax. Tax Increase...
ยท Has repeatedly said the surge in Iraq has not succeeded...which is not true.
ยท He is ranked as the most liberal Senator in the Senate today and that takes some doing.
If your political choices are consistent with Barack Obama's and you think that his positions will bring America together or make it a better place, then you will probably enjoy the ride and not forward this Email. If you are like most Americans that after examining what he stands for, are truly not in line with his record, it would be prudent to get off the wave or better yet, never get on, before it comes on shore and undermines the very foundations of this great Country. We have limited time to save America or the Supreme Court as we know it.

People standing shoulder to shoulder from the 20 yard line back to the other 10 yard line have to be included in the count.

The above post reads as an endorsement for Obama.
The line about Obama being the most liberal senator is less than the truth,Sen. Ted K. is still alive.
Jesus is a liberal, so how is being a liberal a bad thing?

"Obama Would Win Today, Rove Says

Oct. 5)- With 30 days until Nov. 4, Karl Rove projects that Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) would get at least 273 electoral votes – three more than are needed to win – if the presidential election were held today."

After seeing the news the number of people sure didn't look like even 10,000 much less 28,000. There was plenty of seats in the stadium empty. Tell the truth about how many attended and most of these were people bused in from out of state.
