To be fair, there aren't a lot of American dollars in Kenya. The people there use shillings, not dollars, and most have a lifestyle that is self-sustaining rather than working for an employer.
There was another followup article in which Obama's brother laughed at the idea he was living on a a dollar a day, etc. He stated he was happy and learning to become a mechanic and expressed pride in his brother.

Yes indeed, let's allow democRats to point fingers everywhere and ignore why many people could not pay their mortgages: The energy crisis.
The nitwits addressing Wall Street’s woes seem to ignore where the problem originated and they fail to ask what caused average people not to pay for their home, their most valuable asset?
Perhaps it is because many people across the country were surviving pay check to pay check and they simply could not afford the additional $4,000 to $7,000 plus per year due to the increase cost in food, gasoline, services, etc. Many unfortunate souls who would have survived under normal circumstances were pushed over the cliff by something they had no control over and the mortgage company was left holding the bag. It does not take but 3 months to fall behind and once that happens foreclosure is next on the list.
In the nearly two years since nitwits made democRats a majority in congress gasoline jumped $2.00 per gallon. And, what did democRats do when airlines, car makers, etc. were suffering and average Americans were barely squeaking by and had to decide between eating, driving and paying the mortgage? They (democRats) bowed to their Global Warming Marxist contributors, they ridiculed the ideas for drilling, etc. And, in the midst of an energy debate they went on vacation all while the Republican minority remained behind working in congress. And to add insult to injury, after the fact the democRat Party suddenly comes with an energy bill that is not worth spit.
It all stands to reason, after all treasonous self-serving democRats were eager and content to leave the good men, women and children of Iraq for the wolves...If you do not think they would do the same to you and yours and your neighbor...they already did.
Losing their homes because of $4000-7000 per year increased costs? Please, people can generally reduce the amount spent on energy to negate the increased gas and oil. Our energy bills have been cut in half this year simply by installing solar panels and hanging the close out to dry. As for the gasoline costs, it doesn't affect us because we CHOSE to live 1 mile from where my wife works and I can walk to the train. Restaraunts, entertainment and stores are all within walking distance. In fact we keep getting credits from Nicor. As for you blaming the democrats. The democrats are the ones that keep proposing energy bills, including demanding increased fuel economy and tax credits for alternative fuel, but the republicans and G.W. won't let the bills pass.

Yeah, I saw coverage of the gas stations running out of gas. The news really showed the mentality of people down in Texas. The gas stations were out of gas. They interviewed people at 8 a.m. and asked if they knew when gas would be arriving and they said 10. Keep in mind everyone being interviewed was letting their cars idle while waiting in line. When asked why they had to be there right then waiting for gas. The response "my tank is almost empty." Another person said he was almost on empty so he decided to go drive around to try and find gas. So let me get this straight. People wake up. See the gas stations are out of gas. They have no where to go because they can't return to their homes for a week. Their cars are empty, so they decide to jump in their car and idle in a line at the gas station. Smart.

Haha, this post is so hilarious.

We've never had a flake in the white house??? What the hell do you think George Bush is? He's the biggest flake that we've ever had in the white house and probably can't even go to the restroom without Cheney and Rove pulling the strings.

You know, you Obama haters really need to get your facts straight... first you say Obama is some evil Muslim mastermind, then he's the antichrist, then he's inexperienced, then he's a flake. These don't match up, are you too boondoggled to notice even that? Maybe it's because Obama is just a good, smart, bi-racial politician who inspires a lot of people and is actually well qualified to try and fix the things that the Bush/Cheney administration broke?

I don't think McCain's a flake, but I know for damn sure that he's part of the crooked gang who have messed things up so bad and have screwed over the middle class while pandering to the Robber Barons.

We've never had a flake as president. We've had drunks, neurotics, cripples, louts, and fools, but never a career screwup. And I don't think we're going to get one now. Another three months of flailing, incompetence, and a collapsing image will do little to assure voters concerned with terrorism, the oil crunch, a gyrating economy, and a bellicose Russia. In the fullness of time, we will inevitably see such a figure in the White House. But not this year, and not this candidate. Such acts of national flakery occur only when there’s no real alternative. In this election, an alternative exists. Whatever his shortcomings, nobody ever called John McCain a flake.

Why are you lying? I drove aound here where I live yesterday and they were all out. What are you trying to cover up? McFarland and 9, all out. 141 and 9, all out. Race Track on 20, out. Solo on Canton Hwy, out. All 4 at bethelview and 20 including the Kroger, out. Some stations out? OK.
I took your challenge. I decided to go to Cumming first. I needed to run by BJ Warehouse anyway. I also decided to make this a bit harder on myself. I couldn’t stop at a station which I had to wait in line.

Up 400, off at 141, left turn. BP was out but Shell had lines. North on 9 and the first station was Citgo. Only a couple of cars, filled up. BJ’s also had gas today. RaceTrac was out, I couldn’t tell about the BP station on 20.

That was too easy. I drove that truck back to Sandy Springs and got my other truck. Had to run to Harry’s market and Best Buy so back up 400 off at Haynes Bridge. The QT had gas but I couldn’t stop there, there was a line. There were a couple of stations out and another with a line. Another score, while the address states Roswell it’s right on the Alpharetta/Roswell line. No waiting, I just pulled in and started pumping.

You made the claim *all* the gas stations were out for *three days*. It’s simply not true.

Take all the photos you like of stations out of gas. I can go to downtown Sandy Springs for a couple of those. Others still have gas. This shortage was caused by a bad rumor and created another run on gas.

My evidence

People are starting to follow tanker trucks around? Did you follow the people following the tanker trucks to be sure they were actually following the truck? Or are you guessing?

I had NO problems buying gas TWICE today. Once in Cumming and once on the Alpharetta/Roswell line. You indicated Alpharetta was a problem as well. I didn’t wait in line either time and didn’t spend any extra time finding gas either. I didn’t deviate from my planned route either time.

Check the times on my receipts, while you were out taking photos of out of gas signs I was filling my tank.

My suspicion those waiting in line are simply paranoid they’ll run out if they don’t get gas right that second.

Your claim was *ALL* the stations in Cumming have been out of gas for THREE DAYS. That’s simply untrue. I found three without trying, Shell, Citgo and BJ's.

As far as I'm concerned, the last guy to sit the White House ,or even ran for the job of President, that wasn't a "flake" was Gen.D.D.Eisenhower...if you look at it from that POV,it goes a loonngggg way toward explaining our present situation.

Ireport.com isn’t exactly CNN. Anyone can post on ireport.com which is why I don’t pay much attention to it. CNN found a niche, allow the average person to become a pseudo reporter and call it news. Sorry, it’s not news.

While you were out wasting gas I was out buying it with no difficulty. See there is a difference between a Republican and a Democrat. The Republican runs around taking photos to complain about a situation while the Democrat completes a task which the Republican couldn't.
