Shocker: Michelle Obama Is Race Obsessed
“My experiences at Princeton have made me far more aware of my 'blackness' than ever before”
Michelle Obama's senior year thesis at Princeton University, obtained from the campaign by Politico, shows a document written by a young woman grappling with a society in which a black Princeton alumnus might ... via Sweetness & Light

Yeah, me too! And isn't it interesting that there are also white, asian, and hispanics who are lazy, drug addicted, disease ridden, filthy and stinking low-lifes who sit around smoking crack all day? I'm sick of slaving for all those layabouts too.

Attack the wife? Is this a first in presidential history? Can we focus on Barack's policies? Thanks.

You're working 12 hour days because you're not very smart, not because there are too many black people on crack to help you with your work load. If you're tired of working find another job and quit blaming your own lack of acheivement on an entire race of people. |

If you are looking to dig up dirt perhaps you should start with Senator Clinyon's spouse - I bet this would keep you busy until after election in November - that is if you are going to start on the spouses. I suggest you leave the spouses out of it because it can get nasty....if you know what I mean.

HE HAS NONE. HE HAS NOT ACCOMPLISHED A THING WHILE IN THE SENATE. NO THIS IS NOT PRESIDENTIAL HISTORY. DUBBYA'S WIFE WAS QUESTIONED. HILLARY WAS PUT THROUGH THE RINGER WHEN BILL RAN. DUBBYA'S MOM WAS PUT THROUGH THE RINGER ALSO BUT NOT MUCH TO FIND. SO STOP TRYING TO SAY SHE IS BEING QUESTIONED BECAUSE SHE BLACK. AT THIS LEVEL, RACE IS NOT A ISSUE ONLY THE MEDIA MAKES IT A ISSUE. |

Let's start with Michelle Obama because that is the subject of the article. I am an African American man who also has an Ivy League undergraduate education. I have to admit that my feelings and observations are identical to hers. Since graduating 15 years ago I have achieved many things that have helped me move up the corporate ladder. My accomplishments have been far superior to my white counterparts however I always feel I am treated as though I am different. Every promotion brings looks, comments and outright accusations of tokenism. I recently went back to school for an Executive level MBA degree. My class is exclusively midlevel and junior executives. I took the class as a preparation for my becoming the next CEO of my company. I conservatively make more money than everyone in my class and clearly have accomplished more however; I am still treated as though I am the token minority of the class. There are exactly one African American male, female, Hispanic, and five Asians/Indians. One student even said in a joking fashion that I was representing the black males. The feeling Michelle Obama feel are the same for most African American in a predominantly white society. Her feelings should be no more of a reason to not vote for her husband. That brings me to the next topic: her husband. He is the one running for president, if you don’t want to vote for him, don’t. Just don’t use his wife as a reason. As for his the successes while he was a Senator. He wasn’t in the Senate long enough for success or failure; however our present President has all failures and no successes. Heck he even had a failed oil company. How do you fail with oil? I bet if he had his own printing press he would miss spell "doller"

And beyond that, I have read all of the quotes taken from her thesis; to me it sounds like a young Black lady preparing to enter a predominantly White society and struggling with the inequities and lack of full acceptance she intuitively feels.
A young graduate, an intelligent young lady trying to find herself as she nervously enters into a society she feels does not fully accept her. What is the problem with that? Haven't any of you struggled in your lives with feeling of rejection or felt you weren't fully accepted as an equal even among some of your friends? Despite her age, I read nothing of a racist or hostile nature. Perhaps if every white person could walk in the boots or high heels of a Black person for a week, we would understand exactly what bothered Michelle at that age. My heart goes out to Michelle and Barack as the few but noisy racist bigots among us continue to probe for that bullseye, both Michelle and Barack have to stand and silently take it. They both have more class than I could have shown and certainly tons more class than the sorry bigots that are now taking there racist shots. I seriously wonder how you sorry racists sleep at night or look yourselves in the mirror in the morning. You are looking at sorry sad excuses for real Americans. |

Ms. Obama still has that Chip on her shoulder, about having to make it in a country where only 14% of the population is African American or Black. I have one myself.
There are two groups of white people for whom the “racial equation” will never change. The first one is dedicated racists. For them, the color of a man’s skin determines everything, and being non-white guarantees inferiority. Nothing will convince them otherwise. The second group is commonly referred to as “guilty white liberals.” For them, the color of a man’s skin also determines everything, but in this case being non-white confers a sense of permanent victimhood coupled with permanent entitlement. Non-whites can never accomplish anything without government set-asides, affirmative action, quotas, etc., all of which were/are provided by the “enlightened” segment of the white population. Any white who does not subscribe to such a worldview gets tossed into the dedicated racist category. Nothing will convince them otherwise, either. No doubt Michele Obama, along with many other blacks, has run into her fair share of members in both groups. The trouble starts when Mrs. Obama, et al, believe that those two groups comprise the vast majority, if not the totality, of white people. Most white people I know are in neither group. They neither despise people of color nor find it necessary to accommodate their every wish. In fact, most whites never think about race unless it is thrust into the limelight by a news story–from a mainstream media where the political correctness of “guilty white liberalism” reigns supreme. A lot of whites, however, do walk on eggshells around non-whites. Not because they harbor racist hearts, but because they are afraid of saying something that might be inadvertently offensive in an age of hypersensitivity. I suspect most non-whites pick up on this timidness. Some use it to press an advantage, some find it amusing, and some suspect such reticence is indeed hidden racism. That’s where the chip on my shoulder, and I imagine a lot of other reasonable white people, comes from. I get tired of paying for the sins of overt racists and their equally odious counterparts, guilty white liberals. Truth is, the liberals are worse because their insulting paternalism–without us non-whites would be totally helpless–is racism covered with a patina of self-righteousness. At least overt racists are up front with their prejudice. In my personal experience I’ve found that something “magic” is easily accomplished by adhering to one simple rule: treat everyone like a human being and all else becomes possible. Don’t buy into any of the established narratives about how you’re “supposed” to treat people of a different race. That advice isn’t limited to white people. Non-whites have their presuppositions as well. |

Well..........I don't "walk on eggshells" at all. I haven't done ANYTHING to ANYBODY and I will not accept BLAME for something I HAVE NOT DONE. And anyone who thinks I will can go POUND SAND.

Hey, Mrs. Obama..did you ever think that MAYBE YOU gave off a "vibe" of being self-conscience about being a "black" first and a "student" last and your feelings shown through of being "all alone in my blackness" and THAT'S the reason others shyed away from you while attending this "white" college?
I wonder how candidate Obama feels having TWO women on either side of him "salivating" about being a PROXY-president if Obama gets in? That being:(1) Michelle Obama and (2) Oprah !! You can see the gleem in their eyes when they are on the podium next to him or when they speak "for" Obama...he better look out...I am waiting for the moment when the urge becomes SO great that they literally push him off the stage as they exclaim, "I am in charge!" (remember Alexander Haig)... Ask Stevie Wonder about that feeling! Mrs. Obama ran so fast to get past him (after he fell down..I wonder if she ...naw!) to absorb the adulation (HER adulation) on that stage! Believe me..there is something under the surface with these two! And it's NOT in the best interest of this country. |
|
Sorry, but nowadays, the wife's CHARACTER is as important as the candidate's own. Yes, we should also examine the wife if SHE makes it her business to be vocal during the campaign. If the candidate and wife are "partners" and she will influence his decisions when they are in private conversations, etc. Throughout history you can tell if a president and first lady are on "speaking" terms or not. Some first ladies are obvious hostesses only...some are policy makers (behind the scenes)...sound like Hillary all over again!!! |

pls don't attack mrs. obama anymore. i like her a lot.

So, did you seek employment ONLY from "white" owned and managed companies?? Or have you tried "black" owned and managed companies, as well? That is my suggestion to you. Since you have intelligence and degrees..why don't you start YOUR OWN business and hire whomever YOU wish...an ALL black staff, perhaps? Most whites would want to work for other whites (familiarity and culture and successful work practices) and some whites might feel uncomfortable in an predominately black workplace.. YOU chose where you want to work...if you don't FEEL comfortable...QUIT!!! Did you chose a white owned company because you felt that this white owned company would be a stepping stone for you and you could "get ahead and be successful"? Maybe, YOU have a color hangup and it is sensed by others in the work place. |

Race = Race-ism = White Supremacy = the dominant socio-material system of the known universe in which all persons who classify themselves and are accepted as white unjustly subject to them all persons that they classify as non-white. Race-ism (White Supremacy) exists because those people who have the will to eliminate Racism (White Supremacy) lack the ability and because those people who have the ability to eliminate Racism (White Supremacy) lack the will..... Those people who are white who do not exercise their ability to eliminate Racism (White Supremacy) at all times, even at the direct or indirect threat of death by one or more White Supremacists, are White Supremacists themselves. |

blaming a whole race because YOU don't FEEL comfortable in your own skin is not a solution to your problem or obama's wifey's problem. for you to be so well educated, it's silly how you fall into that victim of the white bully so quickly. yes, the powerful will eat weak minded people like you and obama's wifey as a h'orderve. |
