Concerning the Democratic nomination for president: My biggest concern is not who gets it, but what the supporters of the person who doesn't get it will do.

If you want more taxes, bigger government, and more impingement of your rights, vote Democrat.

Must be nice to be a Democrat. Don't have to worry about morality, principles, and consistency. All you got to do is sit back and hate. Gosh what a cinch.

Agreed either Democrat would be better, in fact it's not even close. Maybe 8 years ago Mccain would have gotten my vote before he turned into Bush

So Bush lowered your taxes by what, a couple of hundred bucks? Yippee. Now the dollar is plummeting due to the debt we're carrying. Guess that doesn't matter?

Bush spent more, even if you exclude the war budget, and the Government (GOP-controlled for the first 6 Bush years) grew larger than ever before. Ever before. Guess facts don't matter either?

Torture, wiretapping, suspending habeas corpus, Patriot Act forcing banks to report suspicious activity (under no real guidelines as to what actually is suspicious) are just some of the eroding rights under Bush. All done under the guise of "protecting Americans" which is always a red flag to any TRUE American.

Yeah, sure. Keep repeating 50 year old stereotypes about Democrats, taxes and your rights. There are obviously plenty of blind sheep out there you can convince.

Why not put some actual thought into your concerns with the Dems instead of just chanting your tired old myths?

What is your definition of morality? How does lieing to get us into and continuing a war fit into your version of morality?

The scary part of republicans is the stupid ones that clock in every day, like most of us, and actually think they are republicans, you are idiots! The republicans are for the rich and if you think for a minute they give a crap about the blue collar worker, well when your job is gone you have no one to blame but yourself.Keep voting republican and see if they give a crap when you are on the soup line.

It's a nice thought but he has changed on several of his positions since his campaign started and pretty much towed the Bush line the last 7 years.

The bytch is the worst choice over anyone including buchanan(the worst president in US history. She lies, vacilates, and refuses to be honest about ANYTHING and she still blames a "right wing conspiracy" for her hubby's downfall. Monica was a dem and her family was all dems and he went after her. Obama is okay and mccain?

Oops, sent first reply to wrong person. Do want to have morality defined. Especially want to know how war fits into that definition.

That's why Obama is so much better. He votes will an independent mind. From his vote history we know that he was "present" for many of his votes. Talk about conviction.

Francis,

Your letter deserves no direct rebuttal as it is about as loopy as can be. Do you actually enjoy embarrassing yourself like this via letter to the editor? whoa...

Rewriting recent history means that you are foolish enough to ignore the fact that some of us actually passed through it at the same time that you did...

I must agree though, you are a good emoter, something most lefties are very good at. Try taking some "thinking" lessons, it helps in life...

For those that had to pay that couple of hundred buck, it was good news.

You speak about facts yet tell half truths. Yes, the dollar is falling against some of the world currencies. You might consider the fact that the dollar was over valued to begin with. And there are a lot of factors that drive that fluctuation, and yes the national debt is one of those factors. However, Presidents don't spend money. Congress does. And in this case, both parties are guilty. Read your Constitution.
Screw your TRUE American crap. I served my country for 20 years so I'll stand against your patriotism any time. I have never been tortured, had my phone wiretapped and had my right suspended. I would suspect you haven't either. So your tripe is just that. If we were attacked again, you would be right up front with the rest of your liberal democrat horde demanding to know why Bush didn't do enough.
Yeah, sure. Keep repeating 50 year old stereotypes about Democrats, taxes and your rights.
It seems obvious you know little about what Democrats believe. With maybe possibly the exception of Kennedy, Democrats raise taxes so they can spend more. Prove me wrong.
There are obviously plenty of blind sheep out there you can convince.
Better a sheep than a MoveOn.Org Parrot. Steve want a cracker?

The election of Clinton OR Obama would mean the TOTAL DESTRUCTION of the middle class. Why you ask? Because their definition of "the rich" INCLUDES MUCH OF the middle class.
