Polls are meaningless. Summer, 2007, polls said McCAin was dead in teh water as a Republican candidate for president, and now he's the party's nominee (pending the official stamp of approval at the convention). 2006, polls said LaMont was leading Lieberman, and we all know how that turned out. Polls are a waste of time, money and ink as pollsters don't talkt to everyone; statistical analysis fails to account for the fickleness of the human mind and heart, and humans change their minds.

Looking at the big picture, have you noticed how many states run by Democrats are in debt, and have been for years?
Where is the Rust Belt? Why, it's in the North, where the Dems and their crooked Unions run every thing.
Meanwhile, the South, solid GOP, is the fasting-growing part of the country, from Georgia to Arizona.
aw, what a quaint throwback to the two party template of yesteryear. your loyalty is touching.

I'll go you one better, Andy Rooney...

J'ever notice that when dems get busted in sex scandals its always a call girl or young female intern?

but when a republican gets popped, it's always a meth tweaker call boy or a men's room hummer!

They are meaningless. Summer 2007 McCain was out of the running as republican candidate for president according to the polls, and today he is the candidate, pending confirmation at the convention. 2006, the polls said Lieberman couldn't win, and look, he did. Pollsters don't talk to everyone, just a small number of people, statistical analysis does not compensate for the fickleness of human minds and hearts, and people change their minds. Polls and reporting on polls is a waste of time, money, ink and airtime.

No matter how many times you delete it, it doesn't change the facts that polls are meaningless and more often than not wrong.

yawn. Yet another poll that has no meaning whatsoever. Last summer, according to the poll, McCain would never be the Republican candidate for president in 2008. Wrong. Summer 2006, Lieberman could never retain his Senate seat - wrong. Statistical analysis can never compensate for human beings changing their minds. Waste of time, money, effort, newsprint, air time, etc.

The people in Connecticut are smarter than you think. You see lap dog Lieberman following McCain around saying lets keep fighting my, I mean our war. Joey (Bush) Lieberman has done zip for this state. It sound like all of you little worried Republicans will stop at nothing. Weather vane McCain has no chance. THANK GOD for that!

I think that since our nation is indeed at war I want the candidate who has the MOST EXPERIENCE in military matters ...that is the person I will be voting for.

McCain is terrible. He can't speak any better than Bush. He's too old. He was locked up in a cage for years--who knows what his mental state is. Obama all the way.

The people in CT think there is an unlimited source of funds, that the environment is more important than economic development, that gay marriage is an all-consuming topic, that posturing about surpluses and spending caps is relevant in common people's lives, that it's all right to take people's property is ok if it will create more taxes, that smoking in a private car is the business of the state, that taking twice as much for a gasoline tax than ExxonMobil makes in gross profits is acceptable, that making private citizens buy bumper stickers and campaign signs for state candidates with taxpayer money is a good thing, and that having the highest tax burden - federal, state and local is acceptable. Yes, these are "smart" people.

As for Lieberman - he won! Obviously, he didn't get your vote, but maybe you are right; not everyone in CT is a moron, they did re-elect Joe over that MoveOn moron Lamont.

This is one independent who will not vote for Obama. He's been all sizzle and no substance - remember "Where's the beef?" My dislike of him stems from the fact he's had no revelevant experience to be president other than running for office. He's never run even a medium size organization as a CEO or better, never run a government much less a state or national agency. No international experience other than photo ops. He promises a great deal, but has rarely delivered - my relatives live in Illinois and they should know. So why should I vote for this man?

And we should be surprised? I mean, this is the state that keeps returning Chris Dodd to the US Senate, after all.

So very true. Everyone getting crazy over this poll is a waste of time also.

They are all bums, but McCain will win. A black or a woman will not win. Our country is not open minded enough yet. I would vote for a purple and green striped transvestite if he/she would make a good president.
Wait till the republican machine gets on Obama. Carl rove spoke of the documented lies obama has wrote in his book, and the shady deals with Resko on Fox last night. They're salivating waiting to expose this bum Obama. It's going to be brutal. Obama is a liar and a racist, evident out of his own mouth. He won't get it simply because of that. If Colin powell ran he would get it, so that leaves racism out, get over it.

you say 'raise taxes' like that's a bad idea. No, you're right, let's keep spending money we don't have and borrowing from the chinese. Brilliant way to go!
If we had 'truth in taxation', our tax rates would actually be lower. Without the bureaucratic mess called the IRS, we would be much better off. Everyone gets so busy with deductions, and loopholes, we don't pay nearly what our 'bracket'
suggests. Those brackets just piss people off.
Nem, seriously, how can we keep going the way we are going with this massive spending and running up huge deficits???
Let me add that I work on a college campus and I hate to say it but most young people around here can not even pull up there pants. Oh ya I want them picking the next President of the US

Reading your post really concern me about this nation. You might have made the same statement about WWII. Mr. McCain has no desire to keep our American Soldiers any longer that we need to. You somehow think the simple answer is just bring them home. Sorry this is more complicated than you and your candidate want to make it. John McCain understands what threat this nation is under. Let me ask you when was the last attack on this nation since 9/11. You would be the same person in line to complain the governement did not protect this country if another attack happened. Mr. Obama has NO experience with our Military, Foriegn Policy (well he was in St. Thomas last week) or reality!
