I don't have an informed opinion about Palin yet. My gut instinct is that I LIKE her. I think she's interesting, intelligent, and has a uniquely strong perspective on the energy issue. But that is not enough.

My gut instinct is also that she is NOT a compelling VP candidate. Time will tell.

Our Governor, Sarah Palin, has just been chosen as Senator McCain’s Vice Presidential running mate. I live in Alaska and feel that our Governor is not someone whom I would want to have the responsibilities of being the President, should anything ever happen to Senator McCain. Due to his age, this is entirely possible.

I went to a debate at our University here, when she was running for Governor. She really lost the debate, but also her actions afterwards, were those of a 16 year old. After the debate, all the candidates had booths set up and pamphlets, so that we could meet and talk with them. After the debate, she came running out,“red-faced,” and ran into the bathroom. Then she told all her helpers to pack up her booth and the pamphlets and she left in a huff. No one was able to get to know anything about her. It was obvious that she had been embarrassed and overreacted to her loss. I decided that I did not want to vote for someone who was so childish, and could not even take the loss of a debate in stride.

There are many things being said about her, such as her role in selling our previous governors’ jet and signing into law benefits for same sex unions. However, the people of Alaska were calling her and our legislators, requesting that the jet be sold. The Alaskan courts decided in favor of the benefits for same sex unions, not her. I do not feel that these show anything about her leadership abilities. Her popularity in Alaska has been due to her “image,” but the people did not like her policies that she implemented. Even her role in settling the gas pipeline, really came from the United States Congress mandating that these policies be accepted, not from Palin. She is indeed, a “puppet” rather than a person who should have any stake in potentially leading this nation.

While starting to be investigated for the abuse of power, when she was said to have “harassed” and gotten the police Commissioner fired due to a family feud, she immediately passed a bill giving Alaskans extra money due to the high gasoline prices. Our legislature has hired an independent investigator to look at these charges and at this time, it has not been settled. She tried very hard to buy her popularity, not earn it by passing good legislation. As an Alaskan, I do not feel that she has the experience, nor the leadership qualities, that we need if she were to become the President.

And yet your state has an 80% approval rating of her. Seems like someone has been eating sour grapes?

McCain has shot himself in the foot. His clain that Obama lacks the experience to be commander-in-chief has no credibility now that he has chosen someone younger with less experience than Obama.

For his VP, Obama picked an experienced senator who can help govern. McCain picked Palin to pander to disgruntled Hillary supporters. He'll learn that most of her supporters are smart enough to see through him.

They believe that it will pull the vote of the women that supported Hillary. It may work to a point but I don't think that it will get him elected. Two unqualified people on the same ballot is a recipe for disastour.

McCain doesn't need anyone to help him govern. Why does Obama?

Curtis, there needs to be a smart articulate intelligent balance on the McBush 3 ticket.

It is important because McBush 3 is old and Palin will need to be the best heartbeat to the repugrat presidency.

(ps a little secret, we hope our presidents listen to their advisors and their vps)

If she has such "traditional family values", shouldn't she be at home taking care of her kids? Shouldn't her husband be out working? What kind of christian is she if she isn't submissive to her husband? Not sure how well that's going to go over with the religious nut-job wing of the Repubic party.

I think she was chosen to get those angry Hillary supporters. We all know that. But she is also someone that blue collar joe can relate to. She carries a gun, fishes, was a hockey mom, part of the PTA, her husband is a union worker and she has 5 kids. Shes like the average joe. I think that helps.

Will it be enough to win? Only time will tell, but I do think Obama hurt himself by not choosing a woman.

If McCain got sick or had a heart attack, that woman, by default, could become the first female President of the United States, beating Hillary Clinton. Maybe, being the party that impeached Clinton and all, they have a plan already in place, to give Hillary a double whammy. Her party and theirs! Yeah, Hillary supporters should get real excited about the prospects of that! Join forces with Barack, and the Clintons can be somewhere in Barack's cabinet! Don't take the chance of that Palin woman becomint the first female President.

The Leaders of the Democratic Party has a CONSPIRACY AGAINST HILARY CLINTON.

First:
The Democratic Party made these stupid SUPERDELEGATES AGENDA to MANIPULATE THE PRIMARY ELECTION that STOPPED HILARY CLINTON from being nominated as the Presidential Nominee.

The Superdelegates Conspiracy helped OSAMA get nominated.
In Nov.4, there will be no Superdelegates. Democrats think people are stupid. It's the people that are going to vote in NOV.4, NOT THE POINTS THAT SUPERDELEGATES CARRY.
1)OSAMA

Secondly:
OSAMA has a huge ego + the Conspiracy of the Democratic Party = They did not want HILARY as his VICE PRESIDENT.
IN FACT, HE CHOSE BIDEN OR BINLADIN AS HIS V.P.
2)OSAMA+BINLADIN

CONCLUSION:
NOW THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY IS IN AN AWE ON JOHN MCCAIN'S MOVE FOR PICKING A WOMAN AS HIS V.P. THE DEMOCRATS HAVE SEVERAL CHANCE TO WIN IT ALL WITH HILARY. BUT THEY BLEW IT.

*OSAMA+BINLADIN=OBAMA/BIDEN

GO MCCAIN/PALIN!!!!!!!!!!
PALIN IS ABOUT ACTIONS=RESULT, WHILE OSAMA IS ALL TALK=STILL TALKING.
