Sure, Cletus, just like we voted on interracial marriage....

(I don't think these morons know what Loving means...snicker.)

This issue will sort itself out and the talibangelicals will be marginalized. It's only a matter of how many women's clinics and holocaust museum shootings we get along the way.

The "tyranny of democracy" mentioned in the article is only a problem where the majority do not have brains capable of logical and rational thought.

How exactly would you be forced to live with gay marrige? What would you be forced to do?
Go to a gay wedding?
People were "forced to live with inter-racial marriage". It was not voted in. Anything to say about that?
Didn't think so...
Thank you Satan. We we can.

Lyin fer jeebus out of the usual closet frenzy.

No one has passed laws saying fundie freeeks can't adopt or marry or serve openly in the armed forces. The rights of talibangelical, serial liars have not been limited.

Yet.

Please remove the large cucumber from your mouth before speaking.

I'm having difficulty establishing precisely what your sexual problem is.

Thank you!

I have a friend. She was born a man and has gone thru many steps in becoming a woman. She has a husband. He never has been gay or shown and gay tendencies in his life, but after meeting my friend, thinking she was a natural woman, fell in love with the human inside. I am a straight man, married, with children. The marriage of my friend and her husband has in no way diminished the quality or importance of my marriage. I don't understand how it can ruin anyone elses...Denying gays the right to the same respect that a straight couple has is taking away their basic right of the pursuit of happiness. How does gay marriage infringe upon your freedom of religion? Does your freedom of religion mean you can impose your religious values on someone who believes differently? How talibanic of you. Off with their heads...

Um, stupid, you've got it reversed.
Here in NoHo, there are may Orthodox Jews. On Saturdays, they don't drive. They think God cares. Oh, well, they are free to that belief, freedom of religion and all.(BUT they don't try to make it illegal for others to drive on Saturday.) If I drive on Saturday, eat a cheeseburger, or even a ham and cheese sandwich, I am not interfering with their freedom of religion. Anybody would think there were idiots if they claimed I was. Like you are any idiot claiming allowing people basic human rights interferes with your religion.

Umm...hello!! There is such a thing in this country as separation of church and state. That means that churches do not make the laws in this country. Churches try to influence laws which I think is fine expect when it comes to infringing on the rights of others. Marriage equality will do nothing to erode the so-called traditional marriage.

For the American people to be forced to live with gay marriage although we disaprove of it would be tyranny. The gay establishment wants the court to decide it since they can't force the average Joe to roll over and take it. That would be judicial tyranny. The fact that most gays approve of this method illustrates the fascism that pervades the gay community.
I'm sorry but the rights of a minority group should never be put up for a vote by the general public, and there are many precedent to prove that: the end of slavery, women's rights, the civil right movement in 1968, and interracial marriage. All of those were decided by the President, Congress, or the Supreme Court. Before you even say those are different from the gay rights movement, look back at the political atmosphere of those issues at the time they were being approved. You will see that there are similarities.

Jefferson did some great things and said inspiring things also; but this quote is from a man who owned a minimum of 200 slaves and is not known to have given even one of them their liberty; not even those with whom he had children.

But on topic, marriage as an institution is not working well at all for many many people. It still baffles me that my friends are making such a fuss over it. I know, the benefits. But married straight friends ask me: WHAT BENEFITS?

You know, nutcase, if the U.S. outlawed everything that God, as outlined in Leviticus, considers to be an abomination, we'd have to outlaw tatoos as well as the whole state of Maine, which provides so much of the country's lobster. You have read the Bible, haven't you?

By "the answer", you mean the bigoted poison that you put into his head.
