This is a law that I actually agree with. It would stop discrimination based on a person's health history or genetic code, and would go a long way to improving things in regards to health insuring in this country.

Please think things through.
If we pull our troops out of Iraq what do you THINK will happen over there?
Have you given it one minute of thought? If there is no one to help the young Iraqi army keep out the insurgents ( at least until the Iraqi's get better at defending themselves), then Iran and Al qaeda will flood the area and things will go from bad to horrible! In short order!
America will look like losers and a weak nation, fair game for all the idiots that want to kill the infidels (us) that support Israel.
Again think things through - on the minimum wage issue. Do you honestly believe that someone flipping burgers at McDonald's should be earning $10 or $12. an hour? These sorts of jobs are for high school students and part timers, they are not meant to be the careers of the heads of homes! If you raise the wages for a burger flipper the costs will just be passed onto the consumers and you are back to where you started. A cheeseburger will cost $4.00 ! Add to the the dumb asses that want to tax tax tax everyone that is making any sort of profit as if it is a GREAT SIN to actually live the American Dream.
If some people have their way - there will no longer be " Rich White Peeeeople" As the rev. wrights said!
America is NOT ( I REPEAT ) NOT suffering everyday! For Gods Sake!
Third. Our Government has little to do with OPEC 's price setting for crude oil.
Do you REALLY want to solve our oil crises??
GET RID OF THE DAMN TREE HUGGING IDIOTS and start drilling in Anwar, Alaska. Colorado and Wyoming. Scientists have told us that there is MORE oil in Colorado and Wyoming that in ALL the OPEC countries combined, enough to last well over 150 years and that is IF WE NEVER IMPORT ANOTHER DROP FROM ANYONE!
Some people listen to the propaganda liberals and never think for themselves.
Think people - think things through.

How was Iraq surviving when USA was not there? It is very innocent for you to say "Young Iraqi Army", what happened to "Old Iraqi Army"?

Who disbanded the whole army of Iraq? Who disbanded the entire ploice force of Iraq?

Who dismissed the entire civil burocracy of Iraq?

GWB and his handpicked goons of ameautres!!!

And now you keep repeating what will happen to Iraq if we leave.

Compared to US occupation, Saddam was hundred times better.

A country with no Al Qaeda presence has become No-1 Al Qaeda site in the world.

A country with no record of civil discord and killing has become a killing ground between sects.

Who is the main reason for this? It is easy to blame Iraqis, but same Iraqis were coexisting, before USA came there with their own ideas of freedom and governace.

If you do not understand a people, you should leave them alone.

That was the lesson of Vietnam, which USA so easily and shortly forgot.

It would be awesome if we could get a similar law passed that applies to health insurance companies and pre-existing medical conditions. Why are we the only industrialized country that doesn't have a law to keep them from raping us?

"A country of no civil discord and killing"? What drugs are you smoking? Guess you forgot the 100s of thousands of Kurds Saddam gased to death during his reign. Those people were living in fear.

What about the "lesser of two evils?"

Saddam did indeed use force and power to control a fairly primitive society. Iraq was and is a tribal society and that's [force] what it takes. He wasn't eliminated because of his morality, he happened to be sitting on top of a substantial oil pyramid that "we" wanted control of.

So we executed a "regime change," as George Bush called it, and in the process removed all the draconian but effective civil control that had kept that country from boiling over and being eaten by the wolves now at its door and in its kitchen and bedrooms.

Without minimizing his treatment of the Kurds, Saddam did, indeed, control Iraq and he didn't turn from the US until he was rebuked publicly by the State Department. We supported him in a 9-year war against Iran, then abandoned him. But the oil contracts held up. Until, that is, he considered doing business with France and Germany and delivering oil to them to broker it to Europe.

Don't try waving the Bible and an artillery piece at the same time; you'll have to drop one or the other.

Now whole of Iraq is living in "Peace and Security" provided by "the Mightiest Army on the earth"?

Those who treat Iraqis as the dust beneath their shoes.

I thank you Sir for your very realistic post. All these hypes about "War on Terror" is a mere smoke-screen.

Iraq which had no link with 9/11 was falsely accused and falsely attacked by USA in violation of International law.

The blood of innocent Iraqis on the hands of USA will not be washed away so easliy.

Just remember this when the next Sadam comes for your country. You live in a vacuum...you have an income for life if you are a Saudi. You bring in laborers from other countries and treat them like slaves...no telling how many have died serving you and no one ever knows. Then there is Al-Wahhābīyy a. You teach this in special schools and demand that all citizens be indoctrinated...then you export it to the rest of the world. You sponsor terrorism on one hand and talk peace on the other hand. But the real deal is that you want a ruling Sunni government back in Iraq.
Remember, if you send terrorism and religious hate out to the rest of the world you had better be ready to accept what you get in return. If you are not strong enough to dominate the rest of the world you need to learn to live in it.
We must either fight you in your land or fight you in our land because you do not wish to live in peace unless you can be the ruler. Being ruled by Islamic extremism is not what we are willing to accept.

I am so happy that there in NOTHING else to work on that we get the congress to pass this little bit of feel good BS. It is getting to the point that the politicians need to be dragged throught the street on fire to get them to actually do their f'n jobs.
