KSU lives dangerously by relying on rallies

Kent's closing in on another 20 wins. Too bad the NCAA won't notice unless they win the competitive MAC tourney.

WAKE UP NCAA!

Every regular season champion in every conference should get an automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. Tournament champions should be given a look depending on RPI and SOS. Why play the entire season and have to prove yourself again in the tournament. WAKE UP NCAA! Go Flashes!!!!!!

What's even worse is, again, the MAC East is far more competitive than the West, who only has one team above .500 at 10-9. However, pairings for the MAC Tournament start with the champions of each respective side, regardless of records (ie: MAC East #1 is the top seed, MAC West #1 is the second seed, or vice versa).

This style of pairings means if the season were to end today, Kent would be #1, WMU #2, Akron #3 and Miami #4, even though Akron and Miami have 3-4 more wins than WMU.

Therefore, Kent and Miami, the true third ranked team, would have to play, and Akron would actually have a much easier path to the championship game, playing only one team with a winning record (10-9), even though they finished second.

The same thing has happened the past two seasons in the MAC Tournament.
