Unified Cavaliers provide new hope

You have a coach like Dave Leitao who has proven unable to win. Even Pete Gillen won with his own players. Take away to All ACC guards that he inherited and who were already as developed as they ever were, and Leitao has done "nada" with this program. He's got the facilities. He's in a top tier conference. But he doesn't win. I would send him and that loser Al Groh packing, but unlike the UVA administration, I care about being good at revenue sports.

Well said, Homer L. I don't know how 1 win in the regular season finale can justify bringing this coach back -not when the team is 10-17 overall, 4-12 in the conference, and is coming off 2 straight disappointing seasons.

I understand that they lost J.R. Reynolds & Sean Singletary, but that's what recruiting is for - to replace players that graduate/depart from the program. You know that at most you are going to have the services of a player for 4 years (not counting redshirts), so you take the necessary actions to replenish the roster.

As for Al Groh, he probably should have been relieved of his duties long ago. The football program has taken several steps backwards since George Welsh left. Meanwhile, VA Tech has become a nationally prominent program. It's time for some new blood at Mr. Jefferson's school.
