Full story: Hartford Courant

At one point Wednesday night, with both tension and opportunity filling the XL Center , A.J. Price just smiled.

All I here in Raleigh is ACC ACC ACC no ACC team will face the defense UConn will play. With a 1 seed this team will be a final four team and Coach Calhoun will get his 3rd. Is the coach o.k. he looks like he is losing weight?

Nice to see the men passing the ball and playing team ball. They make it interesting for sure. Great job and go Huskies!

Price was a man and given all his injuries it was gratifying to see him succeed.

Can anyone explain Robinson's play or lack thereof? He seems not to have a position. Plays small.

Once March comes, UCONN will never make it to the Final Four with all the motivated teams out there if they could barely get the W on this one.

Price was da man all right... He was on fire last night..It's someone different each night and that makes Uconn dangerous.I just wish Hasheem would be more aggressive..Seems all he is ..is a tall guy who plugs the center. He needs to get ticked off offensively and start scoreing with more then just dunks.
Was great to see the game down here in Georgia..Thx ESPN!!

Robinson is poor at handling the ball so it is hard to play him on the wing, yet he is very good at defending wing players. He is very athletic, but it is hard for him to get by defenders because of his lack of ball handling. Also, he doesn't have the mentality to dominate.

Great win for the Huskies. Nova is a tough team.

This will go down as a fortunate win; as bone-head plays led to the need for numerous gut checks and positive response. The talent is there but the court intelligence and (at critical times) the needed focus is somewhat lacking. The successful teams know how to close-out a lesser opponent. Still, Villanova consistently manages to give our Huskies a tough game.
Always happy to see a win for the guys, but some wins are rather revealing. There are some serious chinks in our armor which will need to be addressed for us to move deep in March (if not go all the way). All elements for total success are there . and waiting.

A good win against another tough team. Don't be fooled, Villanova is a very good team and will be in the tournament in March. Price was great last night, but Thabeet just seems to disappear at times, he did have two big blocks at the end though. Next game in South Bend will be a real test, Notre Dame has the longest home court winning streak in the nation. Go get 'em HUSKIES.

Actually, UConn may be number if they win at Notre Dame on Saturday. Nobody has won at Notre Dame in a long time and if UConn pulls it off I think the voters will jump them ahead of Duke.

Stupid comment. 29 pts is a career high, and 'Nova is a ranked team in the best league in college hoops. Get a clue.

Being critical of a team that beat the # 20 team in the country is incredible. Go Uconn - beat ND.

"Chinks in the armor?"

I didn't know that there was one Excalibur out there? VTech seemed capable of slaying the beast last night - at Wake. UNC was Excalibur, and they've been chinked up twice.

Fact is, Calhoun's teams have NEVER done the 105-55 mid-season atrocities that Duke and UNC do once or twice a year. We've seen it before, if he can get his guys to take various flashes of brilliance we see in the Big East grind and harness them in March, they can be as good as anybody and the chips WILL fall where they belong.
