USC has a one dimensional turtle for a quarterback which would be ok if you had a strong offensive line.As the saying goes, just wait til next year.

Replacing Barkley should have been considered. By pulling a struggling quarterback you sometimes provide a needed spark for the offense. In the last 4 games USC needed something. Other teams replace struggling quarterbacks why don't we? Carroll's stubborness and love for Barkley is going to cost us another game.

I can't beleive there is even talk about pulling Barkley. What kind of garbage is that? Did anyone see those perfectly thrown dropped passes out there? The kid is a freshman and he is playing great.
everyone is hurt and he is supposed to pull rabbits out of his hat for spoiled fans?? Get some integrity and stand by your team and QB.

Go USC

Barley's struggles began when McCoy got hurt. It is clearly obvious that Blake Ayles is not up to par with either his blocking or his receiveing. Maybe he is too concerned with his hair and acting like a jackass on the field. Hopefully, McCoy and Havili come back this week and the offense will get back on track.

Somebody better send Carroll some bleach to clean the skid marks out of his underwear. The guy has looked like he has been holding back a turtlehead on the sidelines this season!

I agree on the Ayles comment. He dropped one against Oregon (tough, but very catchable) and totally blew a great opportunity to get the ball into the red zone or score a TD against ASU. Ayles was supposed to be the best TE in his class but at this point he is looking like a huge disappointment.(in all fairness, McCoy looked like a bust until this year too) If Kyle Rudolph (ND) can be so good so early, I don't see any reason why Ayles can't as well. Step it up big guy, or get left behind!

My take on the posted article is that Pete Carroll is one great coach. He supports his team and his individual players. He rightfully pays respect to Oregon, a team that Troy just didn't play well against. SC is a great team with some of its best players out with injuries. Never doubt them - with Carroll as coach they'll be back in form when the team is complete again.

Give Barkley a break. the kid is a TRUE freshman. not a redshirt freshman. you guys are acting like he should be perfect. most college teams would kill to have him as their future qb. also, usc lost all kinds of players to the nfl on defense. plus, they are banged up at all kinds of positions. lastly, the've played most forever on the road, flying to south bend, up to oregon, washington, arizona. you guys don't think this takes a toll on one's energy and strength?

The Heisman talk was a cruel joke. This team is banged up big time, but they will win out and be a force in a bowl game after several weeks of healing.

Sc offensive tackles have been getting lit up that 2 weeks. In pete's run the last 7 years he had some shut down tackles (rodgers, justice, baker, william s) who controlled the edge and gave the qb's plenty of time to throw. barkley isn't getting any support from his wr's and te's with the dropped passes. Someone other than damian needs to make a play.

With injuries and the passing game inconsistent, I'd like to see the Trojans mix it up by starting/playing both Corp and Mustain. (not at the same time of course) The Trojans need 1st downs, and Barks has had chances to run for them and is choosing to try to thread them in instead. The back-ups have been in the system a couple of years, and both can scramble. Trojans need to get 1st downs to keep the OTHER team off the field this year. Bark's has 4 years to shine.
