well, if you think the Ducks offense is similar to Ohio State's, you're in for a surprise. The only similarity is there is a football involved but OSU's offense is feebel compared to most Pac 10 teams. "Somewhat more similar" is a stretch.

I'm looking forward to a great game. It's do or die for both our teams. Fight on! |

Anyone else see this idiots AP Vote?!?! How does he put 2 loss teams so high!?!?
Someone seriously needs to take the vote from this kid. It is absolutely embarassing for whatever company / fish wrap organization he is supposedly representing. |

This will be a good game!
For once, I don't feel that Oregon has to get lucky to win. Right now, if things don't fall apart, I will be surprised if Oregon loses. This year, if we get a little lucky, OREGON WILL BLOWOUT USC. Go ducks, take down the king of the mountain. |

Coach Carrol,
I can virtually guarantee that there will be no orange in Autzen Stadium, even if it is Halloween. |

I won't be passing out candy - I'll be watching a great game! This is a bigger test than the Ohio State game at the Horse Shoe but it won't get the publicity because it's inter-conference on the west coast. Bring it on Trojans!

I'll be trick-or-treating with my kids. In 10 years I won't remember the USC-Oregon score, but I'll remember my kids' smiles. DVR, don't fail me on Saturday.:o) |

That score sounds reasonable. I'm betting we will see our first OT game. A Rib Eye and Cabernet? Damn that sounds good. Enjoy. |

I'm really looking forward to this game, Autzen Stadium will be in full throat and if you haven't experienced it, it can't be explained. I guess we'll see just how 'unflappable' young Mr. Barkley is. This will be his biggest test thus far, the Ducks are damned good and Autzen is very intimidating.
I'm glad to see the game get national coverage so the rest of the country can see how tough the PAC-10 is and that there are other team out here besides the Trojans. I firmly believe that Oregon and USC are both as good, if not better, than any team in the country. Here's to a good, hard-fought game with no injuries.....and a Duck victory. FEAR THE DUCK!!! |

I'll second that - uh, the good, hard-fought game with no injuries part. Fear the duck, I love that. Donald, Daisy, Daffy, Huey, Dewey and Louie. Dang it, I can't fear any ducks. ;o) |

WA got beat up by Oregon because their defensive front four wasted too much energy in the 1st Qt. chasing Masoli and the TB to both sidelines. From the 2nd Qt. on, they got pushed around in the middle and the Oregon offensive line had complete control.
The SC defensive front four should stay put to stop the run in the middle and not waste energy running to the sidelines, leaving that to the LBs and safeties. Besides, if SC over pursue to the sidelines, that will open up Oregon to run some reverses. Plus, Masoli had good play action fakes, making completions and TDs to the tightend. Once Oregon cannot run, then lets see how effective Masoli is with the pass. |

Scott Wolf's report card was right on. USC has to play better than they have in the previous two games if they are going to beat Oregon. What has happened to the defense? GO SC!

this was by far the worst performance by USC's defense. Either Oregon State's offense is really that good - which might well be the case - or SC's D did a horrible job in going after the QB and an even worse job in the secondary. This team's gotta wake up. don't you know that very freakin game, every freakin quarter counts and no excuses? Suck up and work harder. Here's the real reason we're seeing this team falter week after week. You are complacent - not over confident, because in order to be confident, you have to be really, really good. You're not bad, but you're not great. To dominate, you must want it more than anybody and you work like there is no tomorrow. I urge you to start over, work harder and earn the right to be over-confident because you are that good. Stop living in the glory of the past giants and start creating your own legend. People respect those guys because they had the heart, the work ethic, the discipline, the desire and will to work on it every day.

Is Pete Carrol really going to let Taylor Mays play against the Ducks? The thug should be benched; actually his absence wouldn't hurt the Trojan D that much.

Oregon wins because of home field and sc can't stop a running qb. OU 31 SC 24

To this day I still ponder what qualifies Scott Wolf to "grade" USC's performance, or anyone's performance for that matter.
Anyhow, as for the game this weekend, I think it's going to be a very tough road challenge for USC. USC is traditionally a very VERY good team on the road in big games. But they still have problems when they play at the Oregon schools. If they treat this like they would a tough out conference game on the road, they should win. If they treat it like a game against Oregon AT Oregon, I'm not sure sure. Good luck to the Ducks. |

Matt is an incredible quaterback. You sit there in complete awe and then all of a sudden he does some bonehead thing that reminds you hes a freshman. You cant get upset, you just sit there and wait for him to show you some more greatness. Its incredible to think of him next year and the year after. Great having ROJO back. Allen Bradford looked like a running back from tailback U. They had no answer for that beast. Offense gets better every game, I expect another shootout on Halloween. Fairly easy win if we can stop the spread. Oregon is gonna be much faster than Ohio State. Lots more. But if you think in terms of old teamates coming together the faster, quicker and more athletic ones are wearing crimson and gold. USC by 14!!
