I had this same condition in December.. This story is almost identical to mine(although not a football injury), about the doctors coming in and nobody knowing what it was, specialists, etc. It is probably the most painful injury I've ever experienced. Imagine a constant charlie horse!! and multiply that by 2. His doctor was mine as well. I was the second case he'd ever seen or heard about. Best of luck to Corey as well, we band of injured brothers.

"Compartment syndrome is an unusual condition that confused his doctors the first time around. It isn't contagious, but somehow Hogue's left leg began swelling and he suffered a bout of the same problem in a different leg."
I think I want to know which different leg it happened in. How many legs does he have?

Yes, it is his fault. Thankfully this boy is not dead.

George O'Leary is a fat, drunk, red faced liar that needs to return honor to our school by stepping down from his position as head coach.

You need to drink alcohol to be a drunk, O'Leary hasn't drank in over 15 years. That makes you a liar, and I suggest you step down from whatever you do to bring back honour to your family.

Are you George O'Leary? If not, how would you know his alcohol intake? Are you by his side 24 hours a day?

"I made the decision years ago to not drink. I want to set an example to the kids who I am coaching, and do not want to be a hypocrite when speaking to them of the dangers of drinking and trying to play at a high level of College Athletics"....George O'Leary.

Also, I offered to buy a beer for Coach O'Leary at his radio show, which he politely declined, as he stated he does not drink, but said he wouldn't mind an Ice-Tea, which I gladly bough for him

What's his word good for? He's a known liar. Does an alcoholic admit that they drink? No way, they lie through their teeth, just like George lied on his bio. If he wanted to "set an example to the kids" he shouldn't have lied on his bio. And don't tell me it was a "mistake" and "common" because that's a load of crap. Claiming to have degrees that you don't have is dishonest and immoral. If I found out one of my employees lied on his/her resume, they would be out the door in a heartbeat. As a UCF Alumni, my college taught me to be an honest person, and I would never lie on my resume nor tolerate it from anyone else.

George O'Leary is a liar and not a role model, and that's what it all boils down to here.

His actions after the incident with the bio have been nothing short than honesty, integrity and sincerity. If he would have continued to lie, then you could call him out on it. If ND can forgive him, UCF fans and Alumn can forgive him, the Sporting World forgive him, then why can't you. One mistake does not make a man. I commend you for not tolerating any embellishmnets on one of your employees resumes, but how deep do you look into their resumes, studies show that almmost 70% of job seekers have embellished their resumes in some way.

While I agree that most of the complaints about O'Leary are the usual complaints from impatient sports fans who don't quite understand high-level sports administration, misrepresenting your degrees is a little more than "embellishment." Most resume embellishments occur in the way we puff up our abilities and accomplishments ("receptionist" becomes "executive administrative assistant with extensive training in Office software, data management, and human interface technology"), not in claiming false degrees.

Oh give me a break man. Claiming to have a degree you never earned is embellishment? B.S. That's a flat out lie, and something only a an insecure, dishonest individual would do. He disgraced himself by doing such an act, disgraced his alumnus, and disgraced Notre Dame. Don't try to sugar coat it and say he "embellished."

Many years ago, as a young married father, I sought to pursue my dream as a football coach," he said. "In seeking employment I prepared a resume that contained inaccuracies regarding my completion of course work for a master's degree and also my level of participation in football at my alma mater. These misstatement were never stricken from my resume or biographical sketch in later years."....SI.com

"Six months after a 21-year-old resume embellishment forced George O'Leary to resign from Notre Dame, the world of sports continues to feel the fallout."......Pittsburgh Post Gazette

"I understand that these inaccuracies represent a very human failing."....ND AD Kevin White

The Bio inaccuracies were posted in his 1980 Bio when he applied for a position at Syracuse, which followed him around the rest of his career, before being noticed by ND and George O'Leary. What is not mentioned in any reports, is that subsequent Bios posted by GOL did not contain any of these innacuracies.

"Inaccuracies." George, you mean LIES. You sir, are a loser. You were a loser when you lied in 1980, and you are a loser today in 2009.

Because he has done nothing while at UCF but continue to be honest, have the utmost integrity, continues to preach strong academics to his student athletes, has coached several athletes that have gone on to the NFL to have sucessfull careers. I am sure if we look into your past there might be a thing or two that you are not proud. The key is to not repeat those mistakes, O'Leary has not, Have You!

Daily Horoscope for January 4

Aquarius

You will not be satisfied in your work place, but give it some time and things will fall into place. Those in the construction business should get some good news. Aquarian homebodies will find things rather hectic and may develop a headache by the end of the day, so you should avoid negative thinking as much as possible.
