UConn Beats Texas A & M To Reach Sweet 16

Full story: Hartford Courant

Like a few before him who have etched their names into UConn postseason lore, he plays with flair, a feel for the big moment, a certain panache that fits so well on this stage.

Two complete games. Two games where they played as a team. Two games where they put away their competition. Yesterday they also knocked down free throws and you see how dominating that makes them. Right now, watching other teams, the difference I see is Uconn is a veteran team that has been criticized possibly more than any other team. They seem to have a chemistry about them from losing and winning together so much and in so many ways. Think how many games a lot of these guys have played together. Think how many jerks in our state criticize them over and over. I saw people criticizing yesterday's game. You do not know college basketball if you don't recognize Uconn is the only team (so far) that has completely dominated both rounds.

Uconn Huskies. Big dogs take the bigger bites ....... when they are hungry for a championship. All of the necessary elements are there and the opportunity is available and simply waiting for time. It is your time. Go Huskies Go.

Great game. By far there most complete performance of the year since Dyson went down. I loved the mid range jumpers by Adrien, Price was great and Stanley played his most complete game (only positives, no poor decisions or lack of get back on defensive hustle). Hasheem we will need you again on Thursday.

Go Huskies...one game at a time

This was their best game since, at least, the Marquette game -- maybe even since Louisville (doesn't that one seem a long time ago?). I feel better about playing Purdue than I would playing UW. Karma is due to balance out for the West Coast Huskies someday; I'm just glad it won't be Thursday.

Great game, UConn!

If anyone had told me before the game that Thabeet was only going to play 20 minutes, score 6pts.,and grab only 4 rebounds, I would have said they couldn't win. Wrong, they played as a team, Gavin Edwards came up big 10 pts. and 6 rebounds. They are hitting on all cylinders right now, keep it up guys... Great Win.

Aand M executed their game plan to limit Thabeet. Now introducing Jeff Adrien. Please continue to give us THAT shot. A.J. who has the answer for him? Stanley continues to impress. GREAT quality time by Gavin, a total TEAM effort!! I saw A.J. impose himself more in takin it to the hole, this is what we need to win games at the end....free throws. I don't see it necessary against Purdue or even Memphis, but maybe Pitt in the Championship,(brutal physical classic Big East Thriller). Continue to dominate and impose your will as the great TEAM that you are. GO HUSKIES!!!

Great game. UCONN wil have its hands full against Purdue, which plays stifling defense just like UCONN. And they have a shut-down defender in Kramer, who will give AJ his problems. However if Robinson and Thabeet step up their games, and Adrien continues, they should win.

If God were born in the 20th century, I would hope he would have added an 11th commandment; Though shalt not post pathetic moronic drivel. GO HUSKIES!!!
