when everybody else that works for a struggling company goes into work and says "here, take part of my salary back". no one is, we all earn our salary, so leave it alone.

Mike,
From what we have seen all season I think Robinson having great games reliably and Austrie and Walker shooting the ball well consistently is just not going to happen this year. UConn needs Price to be on his all around game, Adrien to be more effective offensively and Thabeet to be a force in the middle and stay out of foul trouble and all to hit free throws down the stretch. That is what got them success this year and that is what they need to rely on.

That being said one BIG thing I think UConn can fix at this late stage and will help tremendously is to have Stanley Robinson sprint back on defense after not getting an offensive board. When Stanley trails everybody back up the court they cannot stop the easy transition baskets. Stanley please run the court consistently!! Remember the windmill dunk Stanley made against Syracuse. He got that because he was trotting back up the court while Syracuse was on its way to another transition basket but happened to turn it over. That is what ESPN highlights reward but it costs you ball games.

Come on haters please come on and tell us how bad Uconn is because they lost 4 games to 3 ranked opponents, one in 6 overtimes. While your indestructible teams are allowed to loss bad games to unranked teams or beat really bad teams. Using current Top 25rankings.

UNC: 28-4/ 5-2 against ranked teams/2 loss against unranked teams/losses by 7,3,3,3
Pitt: 28-4/5-2 against ranked teams/2 loss against unranked teams/losses by/losses by 14,10,8,6
Lou:28-5/6-1 against ranked teams/4 loss against unranked teams/losses by 33,17,14,6,1
Uconn: 27-4/5-3 against ranked teams/1 loss against unranked teams/losses by 11,10,10,8
Duke: 27-6/5-2 against ranked teams/4 losses to unranked teams/losss by 28,14,8,2,6
Mem: 30-3: 1-2 against ranked teams/1 loss to unranked team/losses by 9,7,5

These are the teams in discussion and based on that evidence this is how the committee should rank order them based on what "they really did."

Thanks for the great post. If I remember right, Georgetown was ranked #10 when we lost to them. We did not lose to any team ranked less than 10 at the time of play, right? The other #1 contenders cannot say the same. I cannot understand how the analyst are talking about bumping UConn for Memphis for a #1 seed when they come from a weak conference and a much higher SOS. UConn was in the top 4 all year in a strong conference. UConn had one regular season road loss and broke 2 schools home winning streak. Not to mention blowing out Louisville at home. Can anyone explain this to me?

Can't even get out of the quarterfinals in their Conference! A lot of dimes out of 1.8 million should be paid back.

If it wasn't for the size of Thabeet (Got Beat), UCONN would have got killed.

What's happened so far means nothing. It's now the time to play for real and with a purpose. That being a national championship. Make the shots when it matters and they will be able to do just that. Go Huskies.

I guess all the money he gives and raises for charity doesn't count. Stop being so jealous because you aren't successful.

Why do you waste your time to post negative comments on EVERY UConn article? You clearly have your own self esteem issues since you love criticizing so much.

According to that slug Joe Lunardi on ESPN, UConn will be downgraded to a number 2 in the West with Memphis being a number 1 in the West. I would love to see UCONN destroy that greaseball Callipari.

The major differance in the game was free throws, or lack of them. In the first 5 or so minutes I think that the Huskies were 0-6. What has happened to this good free throwing team?
If they are to get deep in the NCAA tournament they they will have to hit there free throws and have more scoring. Let's hope that Stanley Robinson can keep up his GREAT performance from Thursday night!

I am not going to argue that UConn is not better than Memphis, I think they are. I will be a bit suprised if the BE gets 3 #1 seeds and by virtue of the fact that UofL won the regular season and BE tournament (cant say that was unballanced) I am not sure how they can be passed as a 1 seed. UConn likely go out west as a 1 or 2 seed and be set up to play Memphis in either scenario. The selection committee does some odd things, in 2005 UofL should have been at least a 2 and possibly a 1 seed (they won out the CUSA tournament when it was a decent conference and were raked 4th), what happened ...they got a 4 seed! They ended up in the final four, bottom line is no matter what the seed, teams have to get it done on the court, its not a popularity contest like it is in football, thank God. UConn is a fabulous team and should do well irrespective of the seed, and if they are truely final 4 caliber, it becomes a moot point.

Daily Horoscope for December 11

Libra

If someone owes you money and you're beginning to think that you'll never get it back, this is an excellent day to chase them up. They may not cave in straightaway but at least you'll have had your say and done what you can. Watch out for a tendency to lose your temper, because although this could be quite dramatic if you're usually the soul of equanimity it could work against you if you become aggressive or unpleasant.
