Full story: TwinCities.com

Like Ricky Rubio's contract situation, the Timberwolves' coaching search is an ongoing process, and it's still too early to say how or when either will end.

Leave it to the T-wolves to make a mess out of a draft pick.

Rubio is coming and it remains to be seen if he is the next big thing in the NBA. But don't count him out yet. This pick may be as good as the Garnett pick in 95. Or it could be a disaster. I'm willing to wait and make judgements after two years.

This pick can never be a disaster.

The disaster would've been if the Wolves passed on the guy... TWICE in a weak draft and then he blows up into a superstar for someone else.

Kahn had no choice but to take the guy....it was the smart thing to do.

We have to sign Rubio at any cost. This guy is electric and no matter where he ends up, he'll be an instant star. I would rather have him come here and help us return to the playoffs.

Mr. Khan said "Dont' portray my TimberPups as wasteland players."
Im asking Terrll Brandon for the awnsers to our coaching delema.. Because I probally Know he .& Hed' say sign any-one but Mario Elie. "
Dont' sign Mark Jackson. Sign Lil Joey.* He like 6'5 now so he can move to Pg. to the SG & hell play Center.

Because if the Wolves passed and Golden State picked him up at 7 and he was their point guard for the next 10 years, you'd have no problem with that.

I'm glad Kahn is sticking to his guns on the Rubio thing....McHale would have "folded" and traded him a week ago for spare parts and a future 2nd round pick.

I love the pick. If Rubio wants to play in the NBA he's got to work it out with Kahn.

Anyone who's a fan of the NBA know that in every draft there are one or maybe two eventual All Star players. Guys taken with picks lower than third almost always wind up as journeyman players. Yes there are exceptions, but there's just as many exceptions with the 20th pick as there are with 3 thru 10.

If Rubio isn't burdened with the overseas contract he goes easily #2. When he fell to 5 Kahn knew he had no choice......

A team like the Wolves needs and impact player. Rubio has the potential to be that guy. Heck even Blake Griffin taken #1 overall is good, but I'm not sold on him being anything more than above average long term....?

If Rubio works out it great, if not the journeyman you would've got with that pick can be gotten anywhere, anytime.

Look how well Rashad McCants and the kid from Florida (I've forgotten his name already) have turned out......

Good pick Kahn and stick to hardball here......half full arena's in Spain don't produce mutli-million dollar shoe deals...he needs to be here and he knows it.

We dont' need any type impact player
Go be unhappy with Ricky Foye
Who else scores 30 on the Wizards
Hes' our best player backing you down
like Rubio coming off the bench
in Spain.
just playing.
Challenge THAT. Upstairs BooTh
Well I know we dont' need Krazi talking
for-real .
With player like "Ellington.
McCcants is still dunking on em huhu.
Rubios' an instant all-Star.
I heard that too..
And hes' electric . If Your PG is better than Curry... We' sign em with a unhappy team in The Gophers !!! Now When or When we get Trevor M. to take us to the touny...
Think it like this. If your the Best player.. Your an Impact Player... Your not asking Amarie Stoudamier to shut someone down to 0 points.. I expect my best player to pick HiS S P Ot and equal his defenderss' totals to 0 points.. & && of course score 33. & so more
justkidding...

Too bad they don't have a Head owner vacancy. As long as Glen Taylor owns the T-Wolves it mean onging agony and misery for T-Wolves fans. The guy he has now seems just as clueless as the past so called leadership was as to how to run a successful "PROFESSIONAL" basketball team. Worst run franchise in all of sports amature included.

"Assistant coach Jerry Sichting and the rest of the lame-duck staff will run the team during the five-game summer-league season, which runs from Sunday through July 19."

You boys sure you don't want to pull a Palin? I mean she had a year and a half left, you guys only have a few weeks.

Then again, Wolves coaches may be losers, but they're not quitters.

Don't sound like the twin cities will get an international taste, sorry for the fans not the Rubio or the Wolves. Kids got a lot of hype, and if he need money the endorsements will come.

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Virgo

It's okay to have high expectations, but try to keep in mind that no one can be all things to all people. As the Moon spends one last day in its current sign, it urges you to find a way to recognize others for their strengths, and forgive them their weaknesses. Virgoans' idiosyncrasies must look like strange quirks from the outside as well! Fate ties up the loose ends towards the end of the day.
