Is Nascar more popular than footbal?

I'd have to say baseball is 4th after NASCAR, football, basketball. You guys that only pack 40 to 60 thousand into football games are rookies. Tailgate for a week BEFORE the game with 160,000 of your closest friends....then you got an event.

1. NASCAR
2. college football
3. pro football
4. college basket ball
5. Hockey

I have to say the NFL hands down. Count the number games played during one week multiply the fans in all the stadiums. Now how many games are aired during one week count all of us football fans or couch potatoes if you perfer watching all the games. And last but not least how many watch the superbowl nothing comes close to the amount of people that watch one event. I am a major Nascar Fan but I have to call em as I see em.

I love football at the end of the year. I love College Basketball. I love college football. But NASCAR still rules for me. Nov. to Feb. is the hardest time.

Given the numbers and money involved in Football, it still holds the lead over NASCAR. Plus, NASCAR is not as popular in the colder states. But they are closing in on the overall fan base. The great thing about NASCAR is that all it's fans are at one event, whereas football is more regional. The real popularity is dicated by how much gambling action is on that sport. In that, NASCAR is way behind the rest of the sports.

If they could get the betting up, more people would be in to NASCAR but the thing is, that there is too much luck for many to bet on a particular car.. Tony Stewart can have the best car all day long until someone knocks him out of the way on the final restart.. I mean, that is like shooting craps.. stats do not really matter in NASCAR.. I think a ton of people have betting pools for football at their jobs and that is basically why they care more for that sport.. also, the fact that every bit of action can be shown on TV between timeouts.. that makes football more favorable for television viewers..Now get a person to a race... and they will be hooked at NASCAR.. it is the most exciting in person, the entire program from the fly over, to the National anthem with patriotic people with hats off, to the race.. NASCAR ROCKS!

the best thing about baseball is sitting in the sunshine and cheap tickets.. other than that.. SNORE!
