I've read the Torreros are BOTH USD and San Diego State.
Both sit on top of different hills in San Diego. USD is a private Jesuit school, while San Diego State is a public school. "San Diego" is not properly used to describe either school "San Diego" should be UCSD, which sits on another hill/cliff above Black's Beach and next to Torrey Pines course. San Diego State should be called San Diego or State when referring to the San Diego schools. The University of San Diego, the Jesuit school, is properly referred to as USD. I ass/u/me the Torreros are San Diego State. Please keep it correct. That's as bad as people not knowing the difference between the University of Arizona [UofA] and Arizona State University [ASU]. |

San Diego State should be called San Diego State [SDSU] or State when referring to the San Diego schools.
