Wisch: Why Penn State Hasn't Avoided 'The Death Penalty' Yet

Dave - we need to lose more than 8 players for Illinois to beat us! PSU still has their entire 1st and 2nd teams stacked with 3, 4, and 5-star talent. That talent along with heart, desire, and good coaching will surprise alot of haters this year. You must be a Cubs fan too!!!

Have to say...the author makes some worrisome points if you are a PSU fan. 8 transfers to date...current players have an entire year to transfer, so it's likely that some more will be coming. Add to that a reduction in scholarships of 10 yearly for 4 additional years. PSU is going to have a tough time competing in the next 5 years. Top recruits are not likely to flock to a floundering program with other strong programs without the baggage that surrounds PSU. Within 2 years, PSU will be lucky to play 500 ball. Lucky indeed.

my thoughts have always been the same on this. The guys who went thru the winter, did the work, and are ready to play also go to a world class university. If they are as smart as i think they are, they are going to Penn State in State College, Pa and doing it for more than 1 reason. The players at Penn State, at least ,want to get a job when they are finished. That is what is important to these people. When are everyone who is hammering us, going to get that fact?
By the way, we will see who will be laying .500 ball, and who is very surprised. I love people who fortune tell the future, wait unti the games are played. If they don't take these victories away, we might just be OK.

A world class university that totally ignores the Clery Act for over a decade?!? If you love your university as much as you claim, you have much to be worried about, both on and off the field. Sub-500 football is the least of your worries. Wait until the Dept. of Ed. and the civil courts get through with PSU. It ain't gonna be pretty. Denial won't change reality, just makes things more painful when the bill comes due. For real.
