This seems to be a harsh punishment, but we all can agree lying should not be condoned. Why is it when his Coach LIED about him missing a game when he said he was injured initially, instead of telling of a possible NCAA violation, yet no one is concerned about what the Leader of the team says?? Why has this been overlooked??? I guess its OK when you are higher up??

I think the NCAA penalty is too severe. While there should be some punishment for lying, ending a talented kids career for lying about a legal meeting seems to be taking punishment to an extreme. Maybe the NCAA is sore about there blown call dealing with OSU baseball earlier this year. Are they really a fair and unpartial governing body or is revenge part of their mentality.
