These guys weren't accused of stealing anything. Just believing the guy who sold the laptops to them.

They are young kids that made a mistake. Sheesh people make mistakes and you people are throwing them to the wolves, I hate to see what you say to your child, family members, etc. when they make a mistake, and or bad choice!

2 days and half a football season? Oh no! What a severe penalty!!!!

As a former college athlete at Virginia Tech, I have to say that college athletes stealing or receiving stolen goods is absolutely ridiculous. Collegiate athletes are given everything these days. Tuition is paid for, textbooks are paid for, computers are paid for, room and board, etc. etc., the list goes on. It is unfathomable to me that these individuals got everything they could want or need for their college education and still were selfish enough to feel the need to steal someone else's property. I've seen the inner workings of athletic teams and departments, especially football, and quite frankly I'm sick of it. People don't deserve free passes and allowances just because they can throw, catch, or run a ball. Life is about more than that. These boys should have been sentenced to the entire 180 days, thrown off the team, and be subject to judicial review by the university. The NCAA needs to take a bigger role in the punishment of its athletes, and to impose some actual consequences.

it does not matter Ohio u. will still suck this year as they did last year. and those kids should be booted off the team and made to pay back there scholarships money that they received.

Won't happen, the school, prostitutes these players for money. It is all about money. Get the bad guys off the street into school, and make money.

If they are that dumb to NOT be accused of stealing anything, esp. umm you know the computers that they see almost everyday, with campus programs on them, then their to stupid to play football anyways. so boot them out so non-stealing ppl can go to school.
