Well, it wasn't pretty. Nothing seemed to fall for these guys coming off an incredible shooting performance against Wisconsin. What I did like was the way they created points in other ways. Craft stepped up his offensive game (and did the usual on defense) and scored. Diebler wasn't hitting from outside, so he drove and got points in the lane. Normally he doesn't get the best defenders on him, they just put someone on him to cut off the 3's. The best defenders usually go to Craft, Lighty, or Buford. If Diebler can keep that in mind and be confident driving it adds a whole other problem for defenses. Sullinger wasn't hitting on the floor but he just kept going at it, and did an amazing job hitting free throws for a big guy.

Looking at the big conferences, I'm not that concerned about this game. These lower seeded teams are coming out to win.

ACC #1 seed--UNC came from behind to pull out a last second victory over #9 seed Miami

Big East #1 seed--Pitt goes down to #9 seed UCONN

Big Twelve #1 seed--Kansas barely escapes with a 1 point win over #9 seed Oklahoma State

Pac Ten #1 seed--Arizona with a 9 point win over a terrible Oregon State team...biggest win.

SEC #1 seeds--Florida we are yet to see but Alabama is behind and struggling against the #4 seed in the East Georgia.

So all in all, it's tournament time, the big dance is going to be a blast.

Good enough to win withg a lethargic, lifeless, listless, emotionless performance.

Northwestern just seems to match up well against OSU. They play a deliberate, smart game. OSU won. That is what matters.

Glad Ohio State doesn't have to play Northwestern any more this year! Where was Buford by the way? He even missed the two free throws he shot because of the technical foul. I don't believe I have ever seen him have such a bad game. But it does happen to everyone, sooner or later.

I would've had Sullinger shoot those techincals since he was at the line most of the game. How about the refs missing the shot clock violation late in the game when NW tied the game with a 3 pointer?

One thing for sure. Most of us has said it before and can say it again.

We don't live or die by the 3.

Getting into the paint didi it again for us.

OSU hung tough and were patient so as not to get too frustrated by Northwestern's slow style of play. A win is win - even if it was ugly. Congratulations Buckeyes on hanging tough.

After four blowouts in a row, maybe a nip/tuck, ugly, grind-it-out win is just what this team needed. Maybe it will refocus them and put them in the right frame of mind for the Dance....

I love the chance to get them 3 times in one year. Now the game isn't just to get to the Championship game, it's another shot at tsun! Rest up Bucks! And if you get up early, put it away. Learn from Illinois mistakes!

I hope those kids from up north don't beat us on Saturday. But, they just might. And, if they do, shame on me.

I heard Evan Turner is coming back and able to play in this game just to shatter your dreams once again.
