Hurricanes looking to stay in ACC title hunt
#1 Nov 2, 2007
Miami is not a good football team this year. If they even contend or even come close to contending this year, it will prove the ACC is by far the weakest BCS conference in the country.

ITS SO BAD THAT EITHER WITH KYLE OR KIRBY THAT THE REST OF THE TEAM REALLY HAS TO PLAY ABOVE THEIR LEVEL FOR 60 MINUTES...AS U ALL KNOW ITS BECAUSE THE QB'S AT UM SUCK!!!!!
NEITHER ONE COULD WIN THE PEE WEE SUPER BOWL AS THEY CAN'T PLAY CONSISTENTLY...BUT I FEEL BETTER WJHEN I LOOK AT FSU CAUSE THEY HAVE THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM!!!!
WHERE WAS COKER'S STAFF WHEN TEBOW WAS AROUND, OR EVEN SMITH FROM FAU OR USF'S QB. LOOKING AT OTHER TEAMS THIS YEAR THERE ARE QUITE A FEW QB'S THAT ARE JUST QOQ..LIKE WOODSON FOR EXAMPLE.......
I HOPE MARVE IS BETTER THAN THE PRESS HE GETS. I REMEMBER WHEN KYLE 3 AND OUT WRIGHT CAME TO UM, MANY THOUGHT HE WOULD BE OUR NEXT DORSEY, KEELY, KOSAR OR TESTAVERDE....
WELL WE KNOW THAT IS SO FAR FROM REALITY....
GOOD LUCK CANES..RUN THE BALL, RUN THE BALL, RUN THE BALL BECAUSE KIRBY SUCKS AS BAD AS WRONG WAY 3 AND OUT DOES....
COACH SHANNON, MORE DIRECT SNAPS TO THE RB'S WITHOUT A QB IN THE BACKFIELD..MAYBE UM CAN RUN THE BALL, HOLD ON TO IT AND WIN WITH A DEFENSE THAT ISN'T PLAYING 45 OUT OF THE 60 MINUTES!!!!!

CANES SUC THE BIG ONE. SHANNON WILL BE FIRED SOON AND IT WILL BE NO BETTER NEXT YEAR WITH A FRESHMAN STARTING AT QB.
MIAMI NEEDS TO GO BACK AND RECRUIT SOME DADE COUNTY CORRECTION FACILITIES LIKE THE OLD DAYS

You are a moron. Shannon inherited a poor talent pool and the attitude of these young players is vastly improved over last year. Shannon is doing better than expected. Save your negative comments for the pathetic Dolphins and their Blog

The only difference between FSU, UM, and UF is Tebow. Its just that if FSU had Tebow, they would be undefeated.

On Tim Tebow, he grew up a Gators fan and was heavily influenced by Danny Weurfel growing up, so no one but Florida really had a shot at him. This is a quote from him Mom :
“Danny Wuerffel taught him a lot about humility. He always deflected the praise and he never acted like he was better than other people. Those are the kind of things we taught our boys. Danny Wuerffel was a hero for Timmy. Danny spoke at our church (First Baptist in downtown Jacksonville) a couple of times, and Timmy got his autograph. He was a wonderful role model and he never disappointed us.”
Whether Tebow will be the real deal in the long run is open to question. Yes, he can run the ball but the team is not exactly undefeated with him doing so and he is not the greatest passer out there. When Percy Harvin departs, it will be interesting to see whether he can carry the load. Additionally, Florida was great last year because it had the defense. Alot of those guys were Zook recruits. They are slowly graduating, and the replacements have not been as good. I say the jury is still very much out on Florida's future under Urban legend guy. He might end up being like Coker, great coach with the other guys recruits.
Second, Kirby Freeman made some great plays down the stretch last game. When the game was on the line, he hit three big completions before the final score. We have seen shades of that from time to time with him. Yes, he played scared and bad against Oklahoma. If you were saying he sucks after that game, then fine. But give the man credit where its due, without Kirby, we don't beat FSU. Any quarterback that leads us to a victory over FSU does not suck.
Third, Kyle Wright is like the 22nd best quarterback according to the rankings. He has limitations for sure, and he does try too hard by sometimes forcing some balls here and there. But successful quarterbacks take chances. Yes, he is not Dan Marino but he has led the Canes to a shot at the ACC title with four games left to play, and I think he has played better than any of us thought he would going into the season. So he don't suck either.
The guy who has had the worst season so far is Javarris James. He is only going for a yard or two on first downs but when the backups are given the ball, they go for 5 or 6. He has also fumbled in critical situations. If this team is to win the ACC, he needs to wake up and produce or be benched.
I think this team has a chance to make it happen. But it begins on Saturday. Instead of bad mouthing players, go out to the OB and root them guys on. If I wasn't in Virginia, I would be there. You guys are in Pompano, not that far away. Go out and support the team!!!

If KW is not ready to go against Virginia, they should play one of the walkon QBs. KF is a fourth year junior QB and there is no excuse to be so nervous that you have more interceptions than completions. The weather was good, the ball was dry, and there was no fierce pass rush. I would be surprised if there was a worse QB performance in a game this year. The coaching and play calling was remarkably lacking in imagination. How can you mismanage the time so miserably when you start with 6:55 remaining?

There will be NO bowl game for the Canes with a record of 5-7!
