I can't believe that the city didn't give awards to more of their volunteers. You know the guys who do the job without pay, often giving up time at their paying jobs and with their family to help. As the partner of a county firefighter I know that there were city and county depts. assisting at the fair and most of the other fires listed above. So why just honor the paid firefigthers?
