It is no surprise that she is leaving. She never should have been hired. Seeing that she didn't even live in our district, but again Barberton makes exceptions for certain people, had it been someone they wouldn't have gotten hired. At least we know were her loyalty is and now so does that idiots that gave her the job with our school district. Now she will take all of those looser principal's she brought with her to Barberton high school back with her or least I hope so. Good Bye Mrs. Lolli and good ridence.....
Why are people so stuck on the residency issue? Do all of the teachers who teach in Barberton, live in Barberton? Dr. Lolli made the unpopular decisions that no one else could step up to the plate and make for "fear" of retaliation from the good ol boy network. And that, my friends, is the first thing that a good leader has to do....get rid of the bad apples that are polluting our system. You wait and see who we get next...hiring an accomplished superintendent who wants to live in Barberton, make the necessary unpopular decisions, and take crap from people who cannot see a long term goal....now that will be near impossible. You nay sayers don't know when you have someone who genuinely cares about the kids & the system....You sure screwed this one up!

I am old enough to vote Steve. Im not a staunch "party" individual and the best man or woman gets my vote. You know as well as I do that there is a group in town that won't push for progress in town whether it is city government or school issues. Just wait till the new Mayor figures out there really isnt any money and all the folks that have their leaves picked up are going to be holding their own bags. Then the bandwagon will be full beating the drum of we need infrastructure.....HARUMPF! Its the same in the schools.

Did you ever consider running for council someday? Just a thought.

<quoted text>Yea, they didn't pass the levy so everybody would get a big 10% pay raise. Now the rats are leaving the sinking ship.
THE LEVY WAS FOR A NEW SCHOOL. HIGHLAND MIDDLE SCHOOL IS A DUMP THAT SHOULD BE TORN DOWN. IF THEY PASSED THE LEVY THE STATE WOULD HAVE PAID FOR THE MAJORITY OF THE NEW SCHOOL. IF THEY DONT PASS THE LEVY NEXT TIME THE STATE WILL BACK OUT AND THE PEOPLE IN BARBERTON WILL BE PAYING LOT MORE DOWN THE ROAD TO BUILD A NEW MIDDLE SCHOOL.

The schools need to forget a new middle school. I believe the people of Barberton spoke loud and clear a couple weeks ago saying NO, you do not need a new school. The difference was like 60 to 40 which is pretty substantial. That in itself should be the criteria for not putting this issue back on the levy. To those who think it is no big deal that Dr Lolli shouldn;t live in the city you are in the minority. If you ask around town most people don;t share your sentiment. They are tired of people taking our money to other communities and thats why we passed the city ordinance requiring all city department heads to live in the city. It's a matter of having pride in your own community which barberton obviously doesn;t have. This town is built on the buddy system and who's pockets get padded. Drive around town and look at what your city has become based on that line of thinking. Poorest, dirtiest, and biggest welfare city in all of Summit County. You get what you deserve. Thank god Lolli is leaving and I only hope she takes all those Principal gestapo Nazis she brought to our high school with her. I am sure they are just gonna love this idiot down where she's going. She'll do for them what Jerry Pecko did for Springfield.

This lady has been trouble since the day she took over the district. You don't have to actually live in Barberton to appreciate the town and have respect for its people. But Lolli didn't understand Barberton, and never really cared to try.

Just call it a divorce, and find someone else who actually cares.

Ha, you fell for that old line of hers? I guess when she walks away with that $59,000 retirement benefit from Barberton it will be "for the good of the kids."

Dr. Lolli comes to a community with an excellent and growing YOUNG school system - AND a community willing to give her the opportunity to make it even better...most of us anyway. ;) Sounds like she'll have a better opportunity in Monroe to start with - which could make all the difference.

Daily Horoscope for June 19

Capricorn

You're feeling slightly unconventional and you're looking for activities that will reflect your mood. You certainly won't be very keen on doing things that are drearily predictable or boring, although you'll grit your teeth and get on with them if you have no choice. But ideally you should do things on the spur of the moment, preferably in the company of people who make you feel alive and alert.
