I agree, Indy was a great host! What is a "zip line?" I picture it as a cable that you strap yourself to that enables you to glide through the air, but that can't be right.
Couldn't afford a $2,500.00 + ticket to the game? lol I couldn't either.
I zip line is like a tight rope, strung a a slant, that you hang from and slide down.

I must disagree that Tom Brady is overrated (he does things nobody else can). But he certainly can be 'had' by the giants defense as proven in the SB. It helped tht the Patriots offensive line was not in the best of shape to handle our rushers. Enter Eli and you've got to figure that he is now better than Brady.

Thanks for halfl-agreeing with me, Bewtiched. But Eli proved in he plkayoffs that he deserved Mvp again. Brady is brilliant but not against the Giants. Thus the equation is evident; Eli over Brady + game day @ indianapolis & solid lines = grand old game for the Jints $ more money for the Neww Yorkersk &a ticker tape pkarade. What better day for America. Thnk aboutit : Victor Cruz din his salsa on the White House lawn!

Both games came down to the Pats with the final drive. One drive had approx 2 minutes remaining, the other had about 1 minute remaining.

One game, the ball takes a bounce off of a helmet. The other game, the Pats receivers have butterfingers. I do not blame Brady, but the Pats did it to their own selves. THAT'S the part that kicks me in the gut.

I think Eli is an outstanding QB, and he deserves his MVP honors.

The Boston/New York rivalry continues ... stay tuned.

Just Sayin is correct. The zipline was just a cable tethered to a raised platform that allowed the riders to slide down to a cushioned/ballooned area at street level. The entire ride lasts about 20-25 seconds. The wait was about 4 hours. Even so, the ride was wildly popular. There were people trying to buy their way to the front of the line. One lady gave up her spot for $500. It was one of the last of the attractions to be taken down. That part of Capitol street was left closed and the ride was left up until the Wednesday after the game.

Some of my friends took pictures but I haven't seen them yet.

I could have gone to the game, but by the time I decided I wanted to watch the Patriots and some other team in the SB, the tickets were gone. Besides that, Eli winning the SB was just not the same as Peyton winning one.

It seems that a lot of the Pats fans have come down really hard on those receivers that dropped those passes. Those drops may have contributed to the final result, but they were only a small of a disappointing night for the Pats.

From the very first play from scrimmage when the Giants scored a safety, to that last hail mary, there were many mistakes and blown coverages that lead to the final score. To continue to focus on three drops,(and the one by Welker, in particular) is unfair to the receivers. There was almost no way Welker could have held on to the pass that he dropped. It was thrown EXTREMELY hard, high, and to his outside shoulder, even though he was cutting inside. Even if he had been expecting that throw, I don't think he could have caught it. The same with the Branch drop. It was thrown EXTREMELY hard and behind him. Hernandez was really the only one of the three who just flat-out dropped his passes.

Even with those miscues, both teams had many blown opportunities. That's what happens when two teams with history get together. The offenses usually take the back seat to the defenses. That's what I believe won/lost that game. Wilfork was a force, but he couldn't be everywhere. And Tuck and Pierre-Paul just wreaked havoc on the Pats' O-line.

It was a great game worthy of a Super Bowl.

Another Super Bowl. Another beating inflicted on Tom Brady and his Patriots. Eli continues to humble Tommy Boy in the Big Game. Had Tommy performed better against the 25th ranked scoring defense in the NFL, the result would have been different. But to only put up a mere 17 points was the kiss of death for the Pats and their fans.

I kept awaiting greatness from Brady against those Giants and I'm still waiting. Once T-Boy got sacked for the first time with 6 minutes left in the 3rd quarter....He really went downhill. From that point on, Tommy went 7-17 for 76 yards and a pick. More important, no points scored in those final 4 possessions.

The funny thing is Brady can't throw downfield anymore in these Super Bowls. 0-5 on passes over 20 yards on Sunday and 0-8 on passes over 20 yards in his previous Super Bowl.

The Pat dynasty ended about a decade ago and to make things worse....the power of the NFL has now shifted back to the NFC. That's 4 Super Bowl wins in 5 years for the NFC over the AFC. The Giants mentioned a few weeks ago that the only match up they feared was to play in New Orleans.

The point is NFC teams aren't intimidated by anyone in the AFC. Next years Super Bowl will be in New Orleans. If New Orleans is in it....what chance will any AFC team have?

Giants 20 San Fran 17 I know it hurts FH, because it took you until now to "come out."

How about THAT "mere 17 point kiss of death?" Is that "the beating" that you conveniently chose to ignore discussing?

Well, the Super Bowl is over, the trophies have been awarded, and the game has been dissected a million different ways.

One of Boston's most well known sports columnists summed up this year's version of Boston's heartache:

In reference to #7 of Bill Simmons' list, I feel the same way about Drew Brees:

10/28/2000 - Purdue beats tOSU 31-27 (ending tOSU's perfect season)
12/19/2005 - Chargers beat Colts 26-17 (ending the Colts perfect season)
02/07/2010 - Saints beat Colts 31-17 (this was basically the ending of another perfect season)

Every 5 years this guy shows up and screws up everything. I guess I don't have to worry about him until 2015...

Hey Sam, looks like the reports of Manning's demise may have been exaggerated:

This is great news! It would be even greater if he can play at a high level, but the greatest would be if he won a second SB. It could happen...

Can they invalidate Super Bowl XLIV? If not, then I'll do it myself: New Orleans forfeits to Indy. Payton gets his second ring. Problem solved.

Daily Horoscope for June 4

Sagittarius

Relationships have been going through through testing times since the Solar Eclipse at last month's New Moon in Gemini on May 20. Events may force you to reevaluate the state of a partnership. You may even decide that you need to make some major adjustments if things are to carry on as you would like. During the coming fortnight leading up to the rare second New Moon in Gemini, this may feel like a crisis, but that doesn't mean you should abandon all hope or throw out the baby with the bathwater.
