He probably wanted to be closer to home, or needed a full ride. I don't know which. Maybe he had a full ride at WV?
A degree at YSU or WV is about the same at this point and time. Either way WV lost a good lineman b/c of transfering. Why?

This is certainly peculiar. He didn’t leave WVU to be closer to Mom & Dad. In fact, Youngstown St is likely farther away from home for him.

WVU has one heck of a deep, talented O.L. Eric was without question a part of that. I hadn’t heard anything about him being kicked off the team or falling out of favor; I just don’t know. With the depth of the O.L., maybe he felt unwanted, or having to step aside as a starter in favor of younger talent. Maybe the curriculum he’s taking is so important to him, he felt he’d get a better education at Y.S. It is a good school, after all.

As I don’t know the circumstances, I can only say,“All the best to him & God Bless!”

guess you guys can't take a hint.ie,he did not pass a drug test, drug test, drug test,x-rumor that no one denies on campus...youngstown is the ex-home of coach tressel,,he had quite a time with his athletes taking gifts/money from a big booster,as a matter of fact the inquiry by the ncaa found him guilty of such two years after he had left for OSU.(however,no sanctions were invoked because of time limits)..same as tressel's recommending?boosters to troy smith/clarett;both were guilty t.smith for $500 cash and clarett supposedly for thousands and perks.the boosters named are still in business in youngstown,o.....that city is cesspool.

Well, that explains a lot. Thanks for the "dope" on the situation, TD-Dog, no pun intended. Not only did I miss the reference, but I should have twigged on the fact that the newspaper reporting the story (which was woefully short on details) is from that area. One could conclude they didn't want bad press getting out on their boy, but one could just as easily conclude other things as well. Ultimately, done is done. All we can do now, where Mr. Roemoyer is concerned, is to hope for the best. The good news: Rightly or wrongly, WVU will be OK without him.

I looked, but haven't found anything on him failing, or refusing a drug test.
Can someone point me in the right direction?
No rumors please.
YSU is under the same NCAA rules as WV.

Although the university standards may be quite different.
IE; one failure and you're gone, vs put you in a program, and try again.
I prefer the former.

coach stewart has said from day #1;this will be a clean program, you might be given a 2nd chance, but not a third, and not guaranteed a 2nd chance. everyone he has removed from the program had second chances unless felony was involved. knowing this as a rule, rodemeyer chose to leave the mountaineer team. if the violation was minor or 1st offense, don't you think the 1st team lineman would prefer to stay at wvu???

Daily Horoscope for January 8

Aquarius

The atmosphere in the office is stressful. Learn to divide time in a planned and phased manner. Beware of starting a lot of new things but not having the time to finish any of them. Mental overload will burn your busy and chaotic schedules and health problems may crop up all of a sudden. If you party with friends this evening, don't make it too late.
