Offensive line is no doubt an important position to address, but there is no denying Vikings need insurance policy in case Jackson falters. Vikings would do themselves a world of good drafting Flacco, Brohm, Henne, or Booty in 2nd round. It's easier to find an offensive lineman than a solid QB prospect. I've got one word to say to Vikings brass before the draft: FLACCO.

They'll get a quarterback. I bet you that it won't be until the 6th round though. I wouldn't mind getting another offensive threat for Jackson to utilize. Somebody who can catch so he can quickly throw it off to them and break up those 9-man fronts. Basically, Shiacoe needs to get his ass in gear for all the money we paid him.
I wonder who they have in mind for the second roudner though. They made damn sure not to give it up.

Can anyone explain to me why a safety was such a needed pick that the Vikes HAD to take him in the second round???? Where they should've picked a starting OT or a game breaking wr or returner would help the Vikes much more then a Safety. Why couldn't they sign the best safety next year or draft the best one on the board in next years draft? A game breaking wr or punt or kick returner is much harder to get then a Safety. How many returners have Devin Hester ability? One Devin Hester. Unless the Vikes get an OT to replace Cook and a game breaking returner, then I will be very ticked that the Vikes screwed up in this draft. The Vikes have no depth on the O line at all, McKinnie gets suspended or injured or something happens to another OT then we are totally screwed. It's a good thing that TJack is so good running with the ball, because with the OT the Vikes have after Bryant McKinnie, they totally suck, unless they have improved alot during the offseason or are going to play Chase Johnson this year instead of Cook and Marcus Johnson. And do we have a WR that can fly and take some dbs deep and keep them away from the line and AP as well. If the Vikes can get one of the top 20 ots and a wr that can go deep and also is a deadly returner too, then I will admit that I was wrong and say that the Vikes braintrust knows more then I do. But you can never have too many game breakers on your team. If they had another player that can take it all the way to the end zone that only makes others like TJ or AP that much better. With someone like DeSean Jackson going deep, the defense is either going to double team him or be able to bring 7 or 8 to the line of scrimmage to stop AP, but not both!!!! You can try to stop AP and bring the safeties into the box or double DeSean, but not both. Pick your poison time, get burned by DeSean deep or AP runs for over 150 yards in the game.
