Bears stay smart, stick with tackle

The ESPN guys were talking about the possibility of the Bears taking a running back from Arkansas in the first round and then a quarterback from Louisville in the second.

Ray Rice would have been an awesome Bear. He's going to be Maurice Jones-Drew all over.

The first round was a success for the Bears, no question. Their second pick, a running back, reminded me just how disappointing Cedric Benson has been. If he had become anywhere near the runner he was projected to be, we would have been able to use that pick for an offensive guard, safety, or even a defensive tackle to line up next to Tommie Harris.

Mr, Benson, your time in the NFL is limited. Make the most of it. Remember, NFL stands for "Not For Long". You're about to become a joke - like Curtis Enis and Michael Haynes - wasted picks we thought were going to make the Bears better.

We'll see how "smart" the Bears were after their first 4-5 games this fall. They've got a lot of work to do to even finish .500.

The PACKERS now have 5 QB's -- Rodgers, Baab, Bell, Brohm and the retired Favre who will come back if A-Rod gets hurt -- that are better than what the bearettes have.

Can anyone name the last great QB the bearettes have had? And no, Jimmy Mac was not a great QB!

The Bears should not draft a QB because the GM does not know how to evaluate QBs????? I though the Bears were a NFL team, guess not. If your GM cannot evaluate QBs, he should be behinde the counter at Burger King, not running an NFL team.
My guess is the Bears' GM is on the Packers payroll.

I am so shocked that everyone is bagging on John Tait?!! We needed a tackle more than a *U%&#! quarterback!? This is the strangest thing I have seen since becoming a fan 47 years ago. Tait! You are doing a great job!
