Now that we're down the road, Houston still has it's #12 ranking; the Miners are still in the minors.

The UH loss to UTEP has helped keep the Coogs grounded and focused on their week-to-week objectives for 2009. The need for UH to strengthen the future defensive roster has also been hammered home.

The sad part about this game is that the bonehead commentators (ESPN) keep using it to degrade both UTEP (... loss to the LOWLY Miners...botton of Div 1...) and Case Keenum (...yeah he's the best QB in college football, but I just can't get past the loss to UTEP...ugh).

The Coogs lost to the Miners, but who can lay that result on Keenum?(536 yds. passing/5 TDs/0 INTs/41 Points) UTEP won on Buckram's brilliant rushing performance.

Case Keenum IS the best QB in CFB this year. What will it take for the mainstream media to stop making excuses for their (ordinary) preseason picks and acknowledge the truth?
