The American team wasn't "trying" anything. The Chinese basketball team is known for this kind of behavior:

I referred to Georgetown as "the American team" and Bayi as "the Chinese basketball team". Is that clear enough for your simple mind?

Every account I have read says the Chinese basketball team started the melee. If you had bothered to read any of the stories you would know that this is the second time in less than a year that a Chinese basketball team has been involved in an on-court brawl with a foreign team. And, the last time wasn't with an American team.

The last incident was with Brazil's National team. The "notorius behavior of American basketball players" doesn't seem to have motivated the Chinese team at THAT competition. No surprises there...

The American ghetto trash deserved it. And you're still a moron. It wasn't the Chinese national basketball team, but a local team. So it makes no sense to say that "The Chinese basketball team is known for this kind of behavior" and then refer to incidents involving other players, including one where some Brazilians put a Chinese player in a neck brace. Moron. Better brush up on that fifth-grade reading comprehension you take such pride in.

First, I never called Bayi "the Chinese National team". I called Georgetown "the American team" (which you don't seem to have a problem with), and I called Bayi "the Chinese basketball team". I guess the word "basketball" must have gotten your panties all in a bunch. Too bad. It's the same way most of the articles refer to The Bayi Rockets. Deal with it.

Secondly, Bayi, and other Chinese teams, are known for this kind of behavior. Do a little reading.

Third, Anybody with a first grade education would have understood that I was referring to Chinese basketball teams IN GENERAL when I said, "this is the second time in less than a year that A Chinese basketball team has been involved in an on-court brawl with a foreign team". The operative phrase there is "a Chinese team", not "the Chinese team". Pay attention.

It makes all the sense in the world if you're trying to show a pattern of behavior by Chinese basketball players. I'm quite sure others who read my post understood exactly what I was saying. Apparently, it went right over your head.

To dumb down what I am saying so even you can understand it, the Chinese Basketball Association, of which Bayi is a member, has gained a reputation for encouraging overly-agressive behavior in its players. The Chinese National team also seems to have a problem with this. Just last year, they were fined and had 3 players suspended for instigating a brawl with the Brazil National team. In '05, the same Chinese team was involved in a brawl with the Puerto Rican national team. Bottles and trash were thrown on the PR team as they ran off the floor, in a similar fashion to what happened Thursday night when the Americans were playing.

These incidents, as well as the violence at the Chinese soccer games, would lead a rational person to believe that there is a growing problem within sports in China. Blaming the American team for the violent behavior of the Chinese team makes no sense whatsoever. To do that, you'd also have to blame the Puerto Ricans and Brazilians for the brawls that occurred in their games. All you have to do is watch the videos to know better than that.

No player deserves to get beaten and kicked on a basketball court. The Chinese basketball teams should be fined and banned from international competition, and have all of the exhibition games with them cancelled, until they learn how to play basketball without losing their minds and resorting to street violence...

The Chinese are merely having a good time is all.

In China, both groups are the Chinese. China has just as many street gangs as anybody else. That myth about the Chinese being so humble and polite has been crumbling for years.

Even in America, there are areas, like Chinatown, that became famous for the Asian "gangs". Don't try to act like Asians don't participate in thuggery. They breed some of the most violent gangs in the world:
