Rudolph was my second round pick for the Vikings This Guy will go over the middle & is a Big target & Peterson has got to be happy. Rudolph can block & open holes for him to run through. Rudolph is the best TE in the draft. The Vikes couldnt have got a better guy. There are many defensive players that will still be on the board in rond four. Go Vikings

How come they didn't get a replacement for that boat anchor McKinnie, the most overpaid, overrated, underperforming OL in the NFL?? How about a DB? Stupid pick. We are good at TE for at least the next 1 or 2 years, the vikes should have picked better. Looks to me like they drafted Rudolph to give McKinnie some help, not a bad strategy.....Peterson's gonna get 2500 all-purpose yards next year, wait and see.

Yep.....RIDICULOUS!!! ;-( Drafting Bowers would've been a mistake, the guy apparently needs more surgery on his knee and is doubtful for next season.....why would you go there? You can't, not in the second round anyways.....maybe consider him in the fourth or fifth if he's still there.

We've already got depth at TE, and our O-line is awful. So we'll frequently have good tight ends on the sidelines, while crummy offensive linemen are out there for every play. Geez, I hope there's a plan to fill needed positions through free agency!

Kleinsasser is in his 13th. The top 3 TE's are all near the end of their careers. Meanwhile, new OC Bill Musgrave has already said he wants to use two TE sets in Minnesota. Rudolph was the hands-down top TE prospect in the draft, and can block for Ponder (265 lbs) as well as catch passes. Goog pick.

And you want to spend a second round pick on him? No way.

oH yeah I like our 2nd round selection yet I still believe we could have drafted Fairly in round one and then traded UP to get Ponder later. No Rudolph then but Fairly would have been the better pick at 12...especially since now he joins Detroit and makes what could be the best team DL in the game.

I like Rudolph, but can he play OG, DE, CB, DT or Safety? Vikings better hope free agency begins soon, b/c they have A LOT of holes to fill. Anyway we can trade Spielman and a 3rd round pick for Ted Thompson?

The two picks help address Minnesota's biggest statistical hole of 2010: a passing attack that ranked No. 30 league-wide in passer rating.

Ponder & Rudolph BOTH in the Hall of Fame?????????? Not too premature, are we? Enjoy the kool-aid, my friend.

Seriously are with this blind to what the Vikings are doing? They're filling holes in the Musgrave offensive scheme. McKinney can't pass block so our offensive will be a short pass, run focused offense. He'll get help in blocking from our tight ends. Our defense isn't what it use to be so we are going to keep it off the field. I'm kind of impressed with this draft. Under Childress he made players fit his offensive scheme. Under Fraizer they are drafting players that fit the scheme,

He moves better then a OG, Blocks as good as any that was left on the board But also is the top TE in this draft. The Vikes Got there linemen in him That you & many wanted Plus This was a Win Win for the Vikes. Go Vikings

Just imagine rice, harvin, shiancoe, rudolph. Loaded. Sure... as long as you can overlook the huge lack of ability from the right guard through the left guard spots on the line! They better plan to start from the shotgun formation and get the ball outside in a d@mmed hurry! Yes, I'm exagerrating a bit, but this draft has so far failed to strengthen the team where it was weakest.

The picks have been OK, but I still give them a grade of C. I still love my Vikes though. There is always next year.

Yes, I'm exagerrating a bit, but this draft has so far failed to strengthen the team where it was weakest. Don't act like if the Vikes took an o-lineman with their second round pick you'd have any idea who he was... i'm so sick of people thinking that they know everything because of Mel Kiper's draft board. Kiper is always wrong. It's all just hype. At least we drafted a guy who is a superstar at his position. You can fill o-lineman later in the draft. Look at most offensive lines, they're not made up of top draft picks. As for defense, if you don't keep Edwards, you fill in Robison. When Pat leaves, you fill in Kennedy. Pat was getting old, he simply wasn't good last year. I've always thought Edwards was overrated. Hopefully Everson Griffen takes a step forward too. I wanted the Queens to take Amukamara, but now that we see how the second round played out, turns out the only qb we would have had a shot at would have been Mallett. There's still free agency, too. I like what we've done with our picks so far. We need help at linebacker, assuming Leber is gone...

Rudolph is a fine pick; it doesn't change the fact that the other three teams in the NFC North have helped themselves much more and the Vikings are going to be in the division basement for the next two to three years, if not longer. Most home-games will be un-televised, and Adrian Peterson is about to become Barry Sanders 2.0.
