Krystal Thomas named to USA basketball team

She said the hard work paid off and elated to be able to go and represent Central Florida, her family, and TFA. These teams are potential Olympic competitors in 2008 and this is a way of developing them. Krystal would love to be an Olympian. With her women's basketball scholarship to Duke safely in tow this fall, Krystal Thomas is tackling new goals becoming an Olympian. The First Academy graduate inched one step closer when she became the first Central Florida girls basketball player to be named to the USA U19 World Championship Team. She along with 11 other college freshman and high school standouts head out today for the Canary Islands, Spain to prepare for the U19 World Championship for Women in Bratislava, Slovakia July 26-Aug 5.
